It's time MELB supporters turned on other teams duds. Here goes, Natanui is a pea heart who has no decision making and can't kick, Schuey , pea heart, Darling no big deal. That should take care of the three West Coast players Who have been rapt on here over the year. as for the coach Worsfold, no idea either.

Do you want me to start on Ross Lyon and Fremantle. Another dud.

I've never seen a bigger opportunity for MELB players to get behind the coach, get fit, get faster, work on quick hands and decision making, stay tight and each just might be easier than they imagine to jump over the two pretender sides that lost this weekend.

Shuey a pea heart? This kid is a gun and the vast majority of our midfield pales in comparison. Lol at people ripping into players of a team that just played a semi final. We are effectively at the bottom of the ladder and I would trade most of our players for these guys (bar Natanui).

Thats when we rip into a player on this forum.

Generally ,one bad game is enough for someone to go from elite to spud around here.

Nicnat-what a list clogger.

Shocking game by him he hasn't got a clue how to play football.

Running and Jumping don't make you a good footballer if you can't get the ball, and if you do, you don't know what to do with it.

Yes, he didn't light up the G tonight or last week or the week before did he? RR's superstar attained 4 kicks and 8 handballs for the imposing tally of 12 possessions. As I have said many times NN is an athlete but his football skills for an AFL player are sadly lacking. He also has little idea of reading the play. Maybe basketball for Nick. Wattsy for me now there's a bloke who CAN play Football.

Spot on, NN does not have a football brain.

Give me a break. The kid is only 21. What young ruckman would you prefer to have in your team ahead of NikNat. Both he and Watts will become elite.

I have also changed my mind....Nik Nat is a flashy very decent ruckman with ordinary skills, who flys high but doest take many.

Jack Watts is a few classes above skills wise, decision making etc etc..

ummmm....Giles?

The more I see of NN the more unimpressed I become.

Flies around looking spectacular and doing FA.

When he gets the ball kicks & handballs without looking. (occasionally flukes a kick to a teammate)

Showed last night that a top class ruckman will outthink & outplay him.

Flattrack bully.

Absolutely, his actual impact on the game last night was quite minimal

Both are still maturing as footballers, they both have different responsibilities, both need to realise the benefits of using their bodies physically.

They have both shown decent glimpses of what is to come in their development. They have both had influences on games.

They both will become good footballers for their respective sides. Both clubs got it right.

Naitanui last night was woeful. Gave nothing. Not saying he's a dud, because he's not, and he's got the potential to be a total star, but the wraps on him now are ridiculous, OTT, and largely unfounded given his limited contributions.

He needs to learn to get involved more and to stop trying to kick a goal every time he feels like he can take possession.

I hate Darren Jolly, but he did very well last night.

Shuey is a great player.

We won one legitimate game this year.

Agree with the Shuey comment; anyone who disagrees has no idea what they're talking about and probably has only watched one West Coast game in their life.

Disagree with the 'legitimate game' thing. For a team as poor as us, every game is important, even against the stragglers, and to beat them as convincingly as we did, three times, gives our young players confidence and shows that we're not as big of a rabble as we otherwise could be.

NN in the last two weeks showed his fundamental problem. He cannot read the game.

If you watch him he often wanders around looking lost but when the ball falls in his lap he can run a bit with it.

In a lower team like ours he would be very exposed. He is fortunate to have Cox around to make him look good.

Very ordinary skills.

Debating on Demonland

Poster A: 'This player is the best, if you disagree with me you have no effing idea what you are talking about.'

Poster B: 'I disagree.' One salient point. 2 rambling sentences.

Poster A: 'No. Effing. Idea.' Cutting personal remark. Anecdote implying they have seen more football than the other poster.

Note - Demonland Rule #23: Ocular exposure to Sherrins increase Football Knowledge © exponentially and in perpetuity.

Poster C: 'This player is the best, if you disagree with me...'

Cost me a pretty penny this bloke did (well the Eagles did, but I'm blaming Naitanui).

He has NFI on what to do. Lost isn't even the word, he hasn't picked up any knowledge on where to position himself or what to do in basic situations, he honestly looked like a first gamer on Saturday night.

Unless the ball is placed in the spot he happens to be in, he is effin useless.

I can't see any way you could have Nic Nat ahead of Jacobs or Maric. They rucked 80% of their games and Nic Nat 50% at best. They were so far above him this year, as to make his AA selection laughable.

While we are at it, how funny would it be if Mitchell wins the Brownlow after not making the AA team?

Would love to see that as his omission was pathetic, but I wouldn't be surprised if the selection panel get a whisper on who wins the charlie to avoid any embarrassment.

Given that the Coleman medallist isn't in the side, no reason for the Brownlow medallist to be there. Fair to say the selectors muddled a few things Nik Nat not only in but first ruck, while Cox is playing in the forward line yet no Pav no Riewoldt, Darren Glass captain WTF. AA selection is pretty crap this year

Where is RR this week and I quote Garry Lyon 17/09/2012 - " Nik Nat failed dismally against Collingwood in the game that counts"

Pro-stats (the stat company the AFL uses) have Naita ranked 18th in the ruckman position for 2012. How he was picked as first ruck in the All Australian team is beyond comprehension.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
