...the MFC version of Tony Shaw's marathon running career

Not too dissimilar from his coaching career.

The MFC should release a statement after a survey of members.

MFC dispels rumours of snow going activities amongst supporters.

After surveying its members , the Melbourne football club has found that less than 15% of its members go to the snow on a regular basis.

Only 29% had been to the snow at all, in any capacity.

This should put an end to anyone associating us with the snow ever again.

We can now point to the survey results of our member base to once and for all dispel the myth.

I have always maintained that skiers are from the same broad cross section of the population as anything else.

I have always seen more Collingwood scarves worn on the slopes than Melbourne. If anything North and Richmond supporters seem the most prevalent of colours. BUT

that said I have also maintained to the club that we should market off OUR reputation and get a sponsorship from snow clothing , snow boots , snow cars etc. Its the perception thats important in marketing.

I was made to go to the snow once with school.

I proceeded to injure myself and get the worst bout of ear infection known to men.

Fair to say that these days I am much more likely to participate in activities better associated with Collingwood supporters (read: drinking, not going to jail!), than skiing.

Well played Sheeds you crafty old coot.

re booing Junior, I'd like to think none of our supporters are that stupid.

Scully however, his first touch will be very interesting.

Unfortunately Sheedy's getting the type of reaction on here that he wants.

I was going to say the same.

I hope Scully puts a hard tag on Moloney, he needs to be run into some form.

I think the club should just leave this one, not bite at all, would hate to see a media conference Sheedy/Scully-Neeld/Trengove talking this meaningless contest up.

Would rather see Sheedy left like a shag on a rock, appearing like the goose he is.

"Scully wasn't afforded quite the same understanding, but he keeps in touch with a few Demons, labelling young Melbourne midfielder Sam Blease one of his best mates."

Would be icing on the cake if Blease took him out and said 'I ain't your best mate so stop telling everyone i am'

methinks McKenzie might up his tackle count substantially

think Beemer will be too slow and Sylvia too lazy

HWFUA will probably keep at least 50metres clear of Mitch

Try and put Colin to good use - off the square, don't care if legal...

I dont agree with Eagles fans booing Judd, as he served West Coast well. Scully, on the other hand, should be booed and heckled from the moment he steps onto the MCG.

Junior deserves to be cheered every time he gets the ball - hopefully the crowd show some respect

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
