Carlton this week.

I'm feeling a bit scared of going to the footy with my son this week as I just can't take coming away feeling depressed again. I probably wont go. Is this wrong?

No Murphy or Carrazzo, and maybe a line in the sand game for us, I'm expecting a better effort than last week...but from what I've seen so far,I just don't trust them.

Im going out on a limb after my prediction to beat sydney went horribly wrong. I think we might lose this one.

Jokes aside, a better effort is needed, time to show we actually are heading in the right direction with a 4 quarter effort. I know its a cliche but i want to see the melbourne players have some pride in the jumper and to try and gain some respect against a side who has consistantly mocked and bullied us.

A Carlton mate refers to this game as "the bye"... would so love to knock them off.

Am going, but fully expecting to be belted.

To state the obvious, we need to start strong. I thought against the Swans we were toe to toe for the first 10 min but could only score 2 points while they responded with 2 goals, and our confidence faded to zero. Blues have their own ghosts swirling around them this week and a loss to the Mighty Dees would whip their fans into a frenzy.

Please Footy Gods let it click on Sunday.

Yeah? You mean they expect to collect zero premiership points from the game?!! Love it!

Play Tapscott on Mitch Robinson. It'll be a learning experience for him and he just might lay the guy out. We already know that we're going to be destroyed by their small forwards, so just accept the loss and hope we don't look as soft as we have in the past against them. I want no more "Bruise Free" comments.

No it is not

Have pity on him to ensure we have a future member think of a reason not to go.

Another 100 point loss and he will be considering the Melbourne Storm

What are the implications for Neeld and the senior players if we have back to back 100 point losses?

No more than this week.

If however it occurs on 24th June that is another question

I'll be there, but it'll be a 5-10 goal loss, at the least. I can definitely see a game akin to the Hawthorn game: within 7-8 goals the whole game, before a blowout to the 60-70 point range.

All I want to see is effort, that is all I ask, do your best and put some pride back into the jumper. Four point to me is irrelavant just want to see a positive step taken

I want to see us gang-tackling, kicking into space and to forwards on the lead, no chipping to stationery players who are cut off and stand still as their opponent runs away. I want to see players like Trengove getting loose and running down the wings. I want to see Frawley dashing out of defence and not hesitating to dispose of it. I want players to look at the goals when they mark inside 50, not looking for other players.

It's as simple as making an effort. I've been pleased with our effort in some losses in the past, such as against the Dogs 2 years ago (Which we were extremely unlucky to lose). I won't measure our performance by a margin but players need to want the ball and want to be out there (I'll be watching Sylvia and Moloney closely)

Let's forget about winning games and concentrate on winning quarters at the moment,we've won 4 from 32 quarters so far.

The coaching staff should demand 100 tackles this week at least because if we don't have the ball and we aren't tackling,we're watching.

Jack Watts must play at CHB ON the CHF all day.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
