Did you see the mark he took leading to his goal? Wrestled his man, tossed him aside and took it easily. His issue is that he get the fumbles when he's tired. I think it's more a matter of fitness than strength, although he does need both to improve.

Joel Mac, god, I like his attack but in the modern game if you can't kick (which the majority of our backline can't) then you get butchered. Batram hanging on by a thread, perhaps because he is in the leadership group.

Tom Mc has a future, but needs to have a spell at Casey to work on some of his deficiencies. Kosi out doesn't help his case.

Tappy just does not look fit at all, was limping towards the end of the game, give him a rest and then a couple of hitouts at Casey (as much as I love him)

Grimes and Sylvia should add some much needed class.

Endeavour needs to be replicated.

Martin was not dropped, he has a few issues with his hip playing up, assume it wasn't up to this week, I actually spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he was very disappointed it's picked now to play up, he had an op on it a couple of years ago, if posters must vent their spleen, then at least get the facts correct....and....

Lynden Dunn was given a job in the second half to stop Bob Murphy who was cutting us up in the 1st Half, he had 18 or so touches in the 1st and 6 in the second, I wonder who stopped that, try watching the game and listening to what the coach has to say...

Yes I am as disappointed as the next poster that we lost, but I have never and will never bag individual players, it is a team game, notice Matty Bate got away with it this week and Morton, what's wrong posters....did they play well?

We're talking dunn, Bate, Morton played enough years & games to pull the plug out & go for it. I don't think thats Wrong at all. In fact some have had it Way Too Easy & they've been allowed to grow in cotton wool. Timmy Watson was playing senior VFL @ 16 Years of Age, in a very rugged time of the game.

and I think he needs to learn to toughen up mentally, to Push through these thoughts of tiredness. like a marathon runner has to first learn to push past the limits he imagines.

So endurance, Strength for sure, & work on the mental approach to fatigue.

Totally agree. The two mistakes in the third to cost us a goal were painful to watch and were clearly a concentration issue as much as anything. After the goal the camera showed him and he looked exhausted. Needs to maintain his concentration when he feels like crawling into a hole and sleeping for a week.

Agree. Yes he dropped a mark, but he has been in our better players over the first 4 rounds - disappointing though they have been. Drop everyone who made a mistake last week and we don't have a team - get a grip !

Watts was one of many, we cannot hold on to marks, all players are one grab then out onto ground,one of our main problems. Watts was one of our bette rplayers so get off his bloody back dipstick.

Ins make sense except I don't think Petterd should come back in until he puts a minimum of 2 or 3 games together in the twos. If a player is dropped (as he was) it probably indicates that he lacks effort, fitness or skill. I think that players need to earn their places in the team barring a catastrophe. Fitzpatrick always puts in and has probably earnt a spot given Sellars has struggled. I could also understand if the selectors decide to persevere with Sellars for a notes couple of games to see if he can lift.

I normally pillory Bartram on this forum for his disposal and decision-making, but I actually thought he was one of our better performers yesterday. The sooner we find a replacement for him the better, but at the moment he does things no one else on our list seems willing to do.

No mate.... stick to your normal policy. We are not going to have an effective backline with a small back there who can't even start a threatening rebound let alone finish one. In today's footy there is no place for a pure stopper - particularly one who is not big enough to apply any real physical pressure.

The fact that Barts is getting a regular game just demonstrates how poor our options are at the moment.He'd get a game at GWS - and probably the Suns - but no other team would look at him. He could be a terrific mentor for our youngsters in the VFL - and might be a useful depth player when injuries hit - but he should not be part of our best 22. What's Barts willing to do that others aren't .... run along 5-10 metres behind his opponent in the hope that he can knock it out of bounds?

Tommy Mac might have weaknesses at the moment - but at his age he does have an upside.
