They are starting to look like Melbourne from about 1965 until 2010.

you obviously missed a bit of footy in the 80's and 90's, i remain very proud of the sides that got to the GF's and finals series.

The HUN finally caught up with the GWS captaincy news - Greater Western Sydney Giants to name captain before NAB Cup.

Luke Power and Callum Ward would make a good co-captaincy combo but I wonder what put Scully out of the running?

Lack of physical and mental maturity or is it the "injury"?

If this happens Voldemort will be earning double the combined earnings of the co-captains. Hmmm ...

I was a 10-y-o in 19651 - THAT was painful.

I even rejoiced (a bit) when Stan Alves won a flag with NM in ?1977 - that was bitter.

Over the years I've seen a number of players who started in Melbourne colours2 win flags with other teams - they were a pin [censored].

Youse guys are getting exercised about a boy who:

  • was drafted under doubtful circumstances, (ahead of a young man who, in retrospect, plainly merited the honour)
  • accepted a bucket load of money to play for an outfit that will probably make the early years of the Brisbane look successful and in doing so greatly harmed his own reputation, (but acting out of motives that are regarded as laudable in bankers)
  • as a result of the second point put himself under enormous pressure to perform at what might prove to be an impossible level of excellence
  • contributed little to our meager success over the last two years
  • we are probably better off without.

Enough already!!!

1 Anybody who doesn't know what happened in 1965 - ask a moderator

2 Admittedly, deserting THOSE colours between 1974-1986 might have been considered mitigating circumstances

i do wonder if he will play Round 13....?

I hope so - there's going to be some hard bumps that day.....remember the night Carey played against Norf? I thought Archer was going to flatten him!!!

Nah, Sheedy won't let him. He would love to deprive us of big home game $$$s just to spite us for flicking him off

If, and it's a big if, the coward shows his face at the G in round 13, I will enjoy taking every inch of rage I have inside me, on him. And trust me, there is a LOT of rage!

I rarely boo opposition players, and I have never bothered booing guys like TJ, Thompson, Farmer or McLean. It seems a waste of time. But I WILL abuse the crap out of him and it WILL make me feel damn good. It will be made even better when we beat them by 200 points.

Sadly, because he is an immature coward and a [censored], he won't be there. Guaranteed.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
