Freo are a hell of a lot more focused and professional than us it seems.

They weren't even needing a coach and they got the best one around.

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

look bigger...look wider.. just look !!

Amazing coup by Freo.

I thought they were mad sacking their coach 2 weeks after season's end .... and all the time they have been negotiating with a hot property behind the media's back. Really dirty treatment of Mark Harvey ... but an amazing coup nonetheless

2 Questions

- Why did Lyon pick them and not us?

- Have we any interest in Harvey?

To me the answers

- Freo more decisive - more professional(??)

- Not really

Freo are not more professional, they have basically stunk ever since they got into the AFL, we are going to end up with a young coach.

holy crap what a dog act by a coach

Mind boggling isn't it. I'll bet Harvey will be setting up a dart board with a piccie of Ross Lyon on it as soon as he settles in his new abode, where ever that may be.

Is this true.

Ross Lyon & Mark Harvey have the same manager. Ross to now be labelled a mercenary #$$$$$$$

Mercenary, way worse than even he who cant be named.

He had a "get out clause"

And the St Kilda FC wernt meeting or satisfying is requirements in this

apparently this has been going on for weeks and we could not match any of the money Lyon is getting, he is getting deals with mining companies etc and will make twice as much as we could get him.

There is talk on twitter that M Harvey has gone to the Saints. Until its all offical i just might wait who knows maybe Lyon is going to the Dees. Boy what a big week in footy

Lyon is at Melbourne airport as we speak about to board a flight to Perth. He's a Docker. Amazing stuff. Seems like his manager didn't know and Lyon did the deal himself...

I don't share the optimism about acquiring MM for next year.

So who is left to choose from...

• Neeld

• Burns

• Sanderson

• Hinkley?

• Eade?

• Harvey?

I think it would definitely be one who is still coaching in the finals or it would have been announced already.

Jaded, you're just seeing what you want to see.

Freo have many advantages over us at the moment.

a) Sandi,

B) Pavlich,

c) Ability to rebound quickly next year,

d) money, both for him and also footy department funding.

For someone whose strength certainly seems more in the 'finishing' side of coaching, these make Freo more appealing than us at the moment. He also knocked back 4 more years with St Kilda, so it looks like the move of a career coach.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
