Matthew Warnock wants out

But that is besides the point, because people jump on these guys too quickly. Especially tall guys. Schoenmakers is not going too badly. He just needs to clean up his brain fades and work on his one on one skills. He's being underrated based on a few bad moments against Collingwood.

That is the main point and couldnt agree more.

But Warnock may be attractive, because Hawthorn's window is now.

And with their premiership stars I'm tipping their TPP is pretty well maxxed out - they can't chase a high salary tall - Warnock might be the best they can afford.

Trade Week Radio - Just had Warnock's manager on the line

'Matty looking to move interstate (not specific where) Working through this today'

looks definitely to be gone anybody got any guesses where

I'm tipping GWS. as part of an O'Meara trade

Interesting isn't it. They have told clubs they're interested in picks, not players. But, they'd surely be silly not to explore all options. In this case you mention, they really need a solid experienced defender to help out Davis. If they know if the Hawks may be interested in Warnock (and vice versa the Hawks know the Giants are contemplating it), it might make our bid all that much stronger for the 17 year old with the inclusion of Warnock.

Of course we just love speculating here at D'Land outside of Etihad stadium. And it is idle speculation. But you have to wonder who else GWS have in mind to strengthen their backline in it's infancy years of establishment. You never know...

They have got to be mad if they don't sure up their defence

The way they shape up at the moment nobody is going to want to watch them record scores will be broken.

Warnock will hold down a full back position for the next 3-4 seasons for GWS.

As part of a compo picks deal I think it couldn't be better for GWS.

Colin Young is Warnock's Manager by the way

Ther's 8 "interstate" teams now - lots of options.

Matthew Warnock has told melbourne he wants to be traded. I dont blame him. He is obviously frustrated with his lack of opportunity in senior level this season. He has only played 4 games. But I think our backline is something we have got right and is pretty settled.

Anyway best of luck whereever he ends up. Cant we send him to GWS as our only player they can have instead of scully.

He is going interstate, he is currently having medicals at an interstate club so hopefully we get something good for him, maybe Gunston from Adelaide which would involve a pick as well.

If thats the case our trades look like pick 12 + warnock for Gunston and we can get a 17 yo with the 2 priority picks.

BTW if we get a 17 yo from GWS its a pick next year not the player so how does that affect the father son rule, surely we couldn't be forced to use that pick for Viney.

I wouldn't be suprised to see him head to the Swans either.

They lost Bolton & Kenneally from their defence, perhaps Warnock could help Ted Richards could bolster their defence. As to who/what you might get from them....they just picked up Tom Mitchell, so I don't know whether players like Jarred Moore might be offered up, or perhaps an upgrade of a pick (although the swans first pick now will be in the late 30s.)

BF Port supporter suggesting Port

Makes the most sense to me,

port have probably the worst list in the league.

Warnock would get a game most weeks in their side.

God knows what the dees get but it maybe part of a 3 way deal.

Would any other side be interested?

Perhaps GWS as part of a deal for there 17 year olds.

Whilst the list is average, they actually have semi-decent big defenders in Carlisle, Trengove and Chaplin. Not sure why they would load up on Warnock as well...

Sorry oucher. I got distracted as I wrote that and didn't realise you'd beaten me to the punch.

Haha, no need to apologise, I read what you wrote and actually thought it was my post for a couple of moments :)

Only reason I could see Port wanting Warnock was

a) Primus thinks it is Robert or

B) Primus watched the infamous Dees v Tigers match a couple of years back and thinks he is getting a forward...

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
