The terms 'flatters to deceive' was invented for sportsmen like Sylvia.To my mind his bad habits are now too far gone to break and we would do well to trade him and get something of genuine value while we can.

Fortunately there was someone at the club with more sense than this! And it was resolved before the season closed.....

No one really says he CANT play...its whether he comes to play, and then whether he plays all day.

I've come to terms with the fact that Sylvia will never be consistent enough to be a true a star, but as our side becomes stronger I expect his ability to tear a game open will be great "icing" and I'd rather have him in our side than not.

Here's hoping he can continue to bridge the gap between his best and worst.
