hes been one of our most consistent player the last 3 months..has been able to show that he can play almost everywhere

in one word.........YES

moloney to lead at the half way point, watts to fly home and get the chocolates

Fair chance. I'd say it says alot about our leaders though.

I think he will definitely finish top 5, may finish top 3 but probably wont win. In saying that though, I would love it if he did win in front of one the older, front running, players like Moloney.

yep

He won't poll in the first four games, which will make it very hard. He may be the highest poller from then on, but i doubt he could actually win it.

Few have been as consistent as him. He should poll well

Says a lot about our team, the leaders dont have to be the stars of the club.

At last year's B&F I got Jack to sign my ticket for me. I told him I'd bring it back and get him to sign it again when he won the B&F. I hope he wins it this year, the first of many awards he'll win. And he'll be our captain... he's showing all the attributes of a born leader.

From the MFC website... Mark Williams' rundown of our Round 20 players. It reinforces what many are saying on Demonland:

Jack Watts: Jack was probably our best player. He kicked two goals and had 21 possessions. He also took nine marks. When he was in offence, he was lively, and presented really well. And when he was down back, he took some solid intercept marks under immense pressure. He directed play very well by switching play, and with his run and carry. He has had a very consistent season.

there is still 4 games to go!

Moloney, Jones, Watts, Trengove, Frawley or musical chairs with those 5.

Opposition supporters have certainly calmed down on the Watts bagging this season. I think Jack is starting to scare them a little. Big 2012 for him.

Could jack watts win our best and fariest?

Not sure about the fariest. He's no fairy.

I reckon he'd be a shot at top 3 to 5 in the best and fairest, though. Lot's of good and very good games, but not enough BOG performances (probably only two or three, including last week) to take it out.

Moloney to win it.

Watts second

Jones third

Trengove 4th

Martin 5TH

Moloney will win it, even though he's had some shockers he had a great first half to the year. Watts will be in top 5 maybe.

Lot's of players who have only had partial 'good years'.

Moloney no doubt thereabouts. Jones for his consistency. Martin for not only really stepping up in simple quality, but also for (IMO) playing quite a hard-woking team game in general. Watts would be up there, so would Trengove who has quietly gone about being solid over and over.

Jordie McKenzie if he'd played a full season, gien the votes are coaches votes.

Damn... the process of thinking this through has really highlighted how many people we've had out with injury for long periods or who have been waaaay down on form.

Will there be any more than one or two carry-overs from last year's B&F to this one?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
