Just wondering what people are expecting. Cheers.

The AFL are so desperate to nail this issue that they'll do absolutely everything within their power to make sure he's made an example of. It would do the same for any player in this situation, it's just unfortunate that it's JT. If we really want to get him off, I reckon we'll have to go outside the jurisdiction of the AFL.

does the penalty get worse if he appeals a second time... and fails?

No, as stated elsewhere, he already received the maximum for the charge.

The each way bet would be to see an admission that the severity of the penalty was excessive and reduction of one, possibly 2 weeks if our stars are aligned.

Won't be two weeks because that was what he originally could have settled for

so it will be

not guilty or

reprimand or

1 week or

no change

Probably shafted but I'm damn impressed the club and players are not taking it lying down.

I am amazed the MFC have taken this further...and i am very happy about it. Because the AFL want this charge to stick...so does KB.!!!

Negligence & Head High Contact are the 2 points the AFL will continually bring up...

Now if we appeal this decision we must attack it from a different angle otherwise it is a waste of everybody's time.

Maybe Gallbaly has informed the MFC that he can crack this case....I am intrigued.

If we win this case, and Trengove plays on Saturday-The AFL are going to look very stupid.

I hope he gets off, but i will be satisfied with a 1 week penalty.

3 weeks is a disgrace.

I won't be. He is innocent. Full Stop. For Gods sake WYL stop [censored] footing about.

An innocent verdict will actually be good for the AFL because they can then redraft this rule so that it is more sensible and understandable and enforceable

Sam Mitchell in Sun says that all AFL players are behind Jack and hope he gets off. Says it was a perfect tackle.

We should get him or a member from the players assoc to be a witness.

You may be right, but we are dealing with the AFL. I am a realist, not pussyfooting around at all.

The words negligent and head high contact will be continually used, which is exactly what the AFL wish to stamp out.

I would love JT to get off, but downgrade is i fear our best option.

If JT plays on saturday i will buy you a few beers rpfc..happily.

My apologies DC!! Similiar intelligence to rp, take it as a compliment.

Can it be proved accidental??? I suppose that is why you pay top $$$ for a beak.

I cannot answer that now, and will be intruiged with what Gallbaly presents as his evidence.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
