Tough to make changes after such a good performance but we have some good players that should be ready to come back in next week to take on Brisbane.

In: McDonald (if fit), Moloney (if fit)

Out: Bennell, Jones

Backs: MacDonald, Frawley, Rivers

Half backs: Bartram, Garland, Bruce

Centres: McDonald, Moloney, Scully

Half forwards: Bail, Jurrah, Green

Forwards: Sylvia, Watts, Wonaeamirri

Followers: Jamar, Davey, McKenzie

Interchange: Dunn, Johnson, Maric, Morton

Trengove is also a chance to come back in, but for who???

I understand McDonald and Moloney are automatic selections, but how do you drop anyone?

Jones plays an important role every week. 2 goals this week as well, played a pretty nice game playing on Kirk.

Bennel plays a really crucial role in our forward line with his forward line pressure. 14 goals or something from turnovers was purely due to our pressure in the forward line. Bennel sets that example. He stays for sure!

Agree, it is very tough to drop anyone, but as you said, McDonald and Moloney are automatics selections, or are they?

With the 6 days turnaround I'm sure they will consider resting some of the younger guys so I expect to see some 'general soreness' omissions this week if McDonald and/or Moloney are fit to come back in.

Is Scully a chance to be rested?

Its funny early in the year, was easy to decide who to drop and who to pick.

Now i give up lol.

Out: Maric, Johnson? Someone else?

In: McDonald, Moloney, Trengove?

My normal goal is to align my expectations with a likely reality, but this week I have absolutely no idea. It seems absurd that we can play a game like that and have three potential unforced changes. I don't want to drop anyone.

I call on my right to quit my armchair selector position for the week as it's too hard :)

Terrible problem to have, eh? I don't think I will play this game next year if we have Gysberts, Tapscott, Blease, Gawn, etc and whoever we draft pushing for spots. :)

IN: MOLONEY

OUT: SCULLY

Perhaps bring back Junior and only if he's cherry ripe

i know this is a mssive game, we will be going in favourites and brisbane will fancy themselves to notch their first win in a while- remember they only lost to the saints by a few goals the other week.

Strong feeling that Watts will be rested.

Would not surprise me. The body might be a little banged up and he might need a rest.

Considering Trengove was 'rested' for an interstate game, I expect the same to happen to Scully.

IN: Trengove

OUT: Scully

Would be very difficult to drop anyone on todays performance. Maybe Scully will be rested. I don't think Watts will miss, hes starting to put together some consistant performances and with Bate out is our link up man on the half forward line. Super happy with Bartram's effort today, im my first post on demonland i stated he's always the 1st name to come up on these threads, but today he showed how important he is. Sure he doesnt have the skills, but his endevour and defensive work is brilliant. Don't rest McKenzie, he's tackling pressure is paramount and the main reason Swans had little impact around stoppages today.

Possible ins : Moloney, McDonald and Trengove

Possible outs: ?????

Tend to agree. Just a rest though for Sculls, certainly not form. I saw Beamer limping badly today, be very surprised if he comes back in next week(How did we get away with naming him in the 22??, he was never a chance of playing). Perhaps a rest for J Watts would not be a bad idea? Warnock will also be considered for 1 of the gorillas.

Hardest decision all year... but if Moloney and Junior are fit and ready, you certainly put them straight back into the side.

IN: McDonald (if fit... again), Moloney, Trengove

OUT: Bail, McKenzie (general soreness), Scully (general soreness)

P.S. Has Dunny turned a corner or what??? Wowza! :)

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
