Can't say I agree with people giving votes to Davey (especially 5/6 votes wtf?) only had 14, and Jones had a field day. Struggle to see how Green wasn't in our best 6 either.

6. Trengove. Super game....remember, he has only played 13 games of AFL football! Looked like he'd played 103 today. Bit more strength and depth in the kicking, a damn fine player he will be. No doubt has been the better of the two between he and Scully without taking anything away from skull.

5. McKenzie - back to his early season form

4. Bruce - better use of the ball today

3. Dunn - pretty effective considering we just can't get it inside 50 enough

2. Frawley - had the better of Milne though let him slip away a couple of times

2. Watts - encouraging and I'm giving him one. Just doing some better things each week. At times should go a bit harder at it but is getting that slowly. The kick from 50 in the second was all class really.

He missed a goal from 8m directly in front. Anyone who does that after playing for 6 years does not deserve any votes.

It might sound harsh, but that was such an epic fail, it was criminal!

In Davey's case don't be misled by stats. Look at the quality of his possessions and the one percenters.

If you need to rely on statistics, then you're not watching the game.

6 - Watts - played 4 solid quarters , unlike most others

5 - Trengove - always kept running and involving himself

4 - Bruce - excellent first half only

3 - Green - clasy when he could get it , which was probably not regularly enough

2 - Dunn - showed some zest though body language can be improved

1 - Frawley - lowered his colours to Milne , but kept at task

And so do the likes of Roughhead, Mooney and Kosi. Forwards will miss them from time to time. I know you hate him Jaded, but considering the ball hardly ever gets into our F50, he did alright today.

Killed by the umpires, who kept giving that little shite Milne the benefit of the doubt when doing 360 degree turns into a tackle and trying to take 10 players on.

What the hell does one have to do to get a holding the ball these days? And don't get me started on the chase that was paid a trip because the [censored] couldn't keep his feet. ARGH!

I don't hate anyone who plays for Melbourne, but Dunn's kicked 9.14 this season, which is terrible.

We'll he fits in well at Melbourne Jaded!

I can see what your saying but not sure it would've mattered all that much. Would you rather he drop his head & not compete after that? You have to admit he was pretty good both on his opponent & as a forward when it actually got anywhere near it considering it was only there 30 times?

Love and share your admiration for Watts Jaded so you should know how difficult it was as a forward for us today? Jack was terrific considering, impressing more by the week.

Always make sure I decide my votes before reading any of this. IMO Davey was fantastic today. I thought it odd that anyone else would feel otherwise.

Also good signs from Watts, and Spencer.

Dissapointing result, but I was still happy with our efforts today.

Play for Collingwood, Geelong or StKilda for a start... Also avoid tackling Judd, Hodge and Ablett, because there is a little known clause in the rulebook stating that they are never to be called for holding the ball (it would detract from gate receipts). Also being married to the Umpire's unfortunately featured older sister is a good step, although they have been known to look favourably on gifts of rare and expensive wines, European automobiles and holidays to exclusive resorts (the latter is a well-used tactic of Carlton, the Board members of which own several).

I hope this gives us all a clearer understanding of the rules in question and how to use them to your advantage.

worse was Dunn's goal which he dribbled through from 40m. the choice of kick was absolute brain fade. he's just lucky it went through. unforgiveable. if someone doesn't give him a whack around the ears for that low percentage effort, we're as good as stuffed.

someone can tell him to shave that piece of **** of his upper lip too. it's a disgrace.

my votes:

6 - trengove

5 - mckenzie

4 - bruce

3 - jamar

2 - chip frawley

1 - bennell

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
