Portman when she shaves her head in V.....giddy up!

I also think she is awesome in Garden State.

Got Sin City, but Alba whilst very attractive, just blends in with all the other blonde girls and does not stand out amongst them.

Now Scarlett Johansson is a different story :P

I'd love Riewoldt but our backline would be terrible without Frawley. Both guns and better than Gumbleton, Hansen, Brown *2, Reid, Thorp and other talls at this stage from the first round of that super draft, but it is a long way to the finish line.

Looking at Riewoldt I think we can see how quickly forwards can improve when they get some size and confidence in their bodies. Last year Riewoldt just casually led and barely chased, we even played Bartram on him. This year he has confidence to demand the footy and is kicking goals. Hopefully Watts can start to do this over time.

Um...Geelong?

Compare their forward line to their backline.

good point...but geelong has mids...steve j...kicked most goals for cats last year and played less games than cam m...geelong are a fantastic 'team' they know how each other play together. bomber has been quoted as saying mooney is one of his most important players...because if he doesn't fire it puts a lot of pressure on the team to kick a winning score.

doesn't matter if your a defender...you are kicking the ball forward...so everyeone is really a forward.

in melbournes instance...we have a young side.. bails talks about getting games into these young players...put 50-100 games into our young players then it doesn't really matter where they play...because thats experience. experience is something the cats have a lot of....they have a week forward line compared to previous super sides like the hawks in the 80s having dunstall. imagine if Lloydd played in the cats side for the past 5 years...he could have been one of the greatest full forwards of all time.

my inital argument was i didn't agree with defense wins premerships...that's all..

serious...?

most goals/points win i say...football is a simple game stuffed up by footballers...learn that.

I've seen average forward lines in premiership teams. When was the last time a premiership side had an average backline?

I love these draft threads. They are both great picks in my opinion, and I am sure most supporters would be happy to have either one in their team.

Personally, I think Riewoldt is the more talented player but I think Chip ended up being a better pick. Chip is one of the best young defenders in the competition, and its great that he is showing loyalty to the team that selected him by signing the dotted line for 4 year instead of chasing money from GC17/GWS. (I do not know Riewoldt's contract situation, so have NFI if he has re-signed)

With the impending free agency, loyal players will be a factor for all clubs. With all the money and time spent developing young players, it would be a real kick in the guts to see them walk out for more lucrative contracts and for the club to get zero return.

Frawley... we took what we needed..and he is still getting better...maybe too Jack.. but its Chpper for me.

( on a side note...consider how average Jack wasuntil now... ...makes you think of another young Jack playing as a forward !!! No?? :) )

I would still go with chip but jack is a gun!!!

Same. Both look very good at their respective ends of the ground but Frawley looks to be a leader and stable influence while Riewodlt looks to be a Richo style personality. A flawed superstar.

Reiwoldt is another Robbo. NOw, I have never had a problem with Robbo, but many here did so I wonder how they look at this. He is the only forward they have at the moment, hence his big hauls. However, the team would be far better off with a couple of real key forwards for him to work off.

If Riewoldt could kick straight I'd be more interested in this discussion :P

As for Frawley getting beaten by him, wasn't there a rumour he might be a late withdrawl due to sickness?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
