6 - Sylvia - great for 4 quarters

5 - Jamar - outstanding as a forward

4 - Robertson - firing parting statements

3 - Jetta - give him some muscles and we've got one

2 - Moloney - was beaten but persisted

1 - Frawley - must be given a vote for not acting disappointed when taken off Fevola as part of the tanking plan .

6 - Sylvia - It has been a breakout year for him, and he performed well again today

5 - Jamar - Never thought I'd see the day where he kicks 5! Possible FF? :P

4 - Jetta - His best game easily. He showed smarts today we hadn't yet seen from him

3 - Robertson - He's still got it. Sad he's in the wrong place at the wrong time

2 - Moloney - Kept working his ass off, and deserves the B&F this year

1 - Davey - Good second half, quiet first half

Brock, unless you are injured, for a senior player one of your worst!

Yes, what a disgrace that he couldn't perform at FF. I was expecting a 10 goal haul!:lol:

He played 80% of the game up forward with the ball sailing straight over his head. It is never going to be his natural position, and that Bailey kept him out of the centre shows you how highly he rates McLean and his ability to help us win the ball.

When pushed into the middle, he got some nice clearances and moved the ball forward with class, as per usual.

What worries me the most about McLean is just how slow he is. His running technique looks really awkward and I can only assume he is still injured because he was beaten on the lead a few times by the defender who started behind him.

Agree it looks as if his about to start running faster by his body motion yet he stays at the same speed.

Hopefully all he needs is a solid pre season.

If anything it might actually support your point of view that he is carrying an injury. I hope that is the case. Because he moves like molasses at the moment and the 20% he played in the middle was insignificant. And for 80% he was up forward as a smaller forward he hardly got a sniff. But I agree with you that he must not be 100% fit. I hope he gets an uninterrupted pre season and regains that yard or two of pace he has lost and the necessary fitness you need for a full season.

So are we to write off this year as an injury-caused abberation? If so he's going to want to pick it up next year. If he doesn't, I hold grave concerns. If his effectiveness is completely taken away just because he lost a yard, then we have a problem. And so does he.

I don't normally like to comment / pick on people's votes as I know they're completely subjective, but I can only assume your omission of Jamar was just an oversight. I find it very hard to believe that someone could kick 5 goals and not be one of the best 6 players on the ground.

I thought Frawley was outstanding. Owned Fevola in almost every contest. Fev had his kicking boots on, which made him look better than he actually was.

Thats just the way i saw it. Not that i take much notice of dream team points,Jamar received only58 points. it was possibly MJ's best game for the MFC, however 6 kicks one hand pass imo is not worthy of a BOG vote, even though 5 of those 6 kicks were goal, and at Full forward thats your job. imo the guys that i voted for had more impact to get the ball into the forward line.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
