When Jack is ready to play Senior AFL against Hard Big Men, he should play. And not one minute Before.

I suggest Round 21-22 would be great-time to Reflect over summer & be ready for 2010.

There is certainly no hurry this year.

Remember the longer he waits the more Hungry for Games he should be.

No way should he play against Essendon for his first game (unless they give us $100,000) We could really profit from his debut, needs to be a home game.

I'd hate to think that the club is considering wheeling Watts out just to make a buck off of his debut, rather than when he's ready to go.

He won't play in the Essendon game, I don't think he'll be ready by then. I'm thinking it'll be more like Round 18 or 19 at this stage. I think he still has alot of work to do at Casey before then.

Watts needs to earn his spot. He needs to kick goals in the VFL and do the team things. Regardless of when he makes his debut - i hope it gives him a great opportunity in the VFL to make a good working combination with Jurra, Jetta, Hughes and co. Has already played alongside Blease and Strauss.

is it selfish to ask that its before the 27th so that i can see the game live? (before i go overseas?) lol

Since the day this guy was drafted he was a marketing tool for the club. Good on the club for then considering his study's and what was best for his development and not rushing him in. The club would be stupid though commercially not the debut him against West coast or Port or Fremantle he will bring at least 5,000 additional through the gate plus a lot more media coverage.

Surely Bailey can not talk about not playing players out of form when he continues to play Miller.

I think you're a bit harsh on Miller.

He gets scarce and awful service most of the time, but continues to present. In that way he's had a similar season to Bate; played some good ones, some bad ones, and some adequate ones.

A lot like the rest of the team really...

Whoops, this is a thread about Watts.

WCE game to bring in the bandwagoners for the second game of the year, the first being QB.

Melbourne-v-West Coast

Round 14, Saturday July 4th.

9 games before end of the year and will still be eligable for NAB rising star award next year also.

Question. I havent seen any Casey games in the last 3 weeks, and perhaps KC from Casey can help out here too, but is Watts playing consistently in a forward role?

I have seen him in a couple of games where he has gone down the ground just to keep him in the game.

Are they giving him every opportunity to get his form back?

Anyone have any idea the most goals (at any level) Watts has ever kicked in a game?

I know he kicked 9 goals for BGS playing as a year 10

I'm with you, agree 100%.

When he's ready, then lets play him. That said, a taste of AFL later this year wouldn't hurt, and would give him a good idea of what to expect come next year.

IMO i don't see him being a regular player until 2011. But that's cool, he's got plenty of time, and will be well worth the wait once he's matured physically.

Cheers I was starting to think we recruited another key forward who liked playing up the ground more than kicking goals.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
