At the end of last year he was struggling to get a game, now he is a certainty to be in our 22 come RND 1 without earning his position again. I'm not gonna show blind faith in the club that preaches that we are going places when I'm seeing the same players doing the same things that have got us in this mess in the first place. The only positive this year has been puting Grimes in the midfield, finally we have a new face in the midfield that has been neglected for 3 years cos the club prayed and hoped that the same 3 players would do something that they weren't capable of doing which was winning games and that is probably only due to McLean leaving. Apart from that it's the same old Melbourne and Miller is the poster boy of that, but he is not the only one I'm concerned with. A lot of the more experienced players have to show either more consistancy or more influence on a game.

Did he mention when Watts and Garland should be back? Were they all the calls that Bailey took or were there more? If that was it I'd be pretty disappointed in the callers. Bailey was never gonna talk tactics so that was a waste of time and Bell that was a waste of a phone call, really who cares about Bell? and the forward line question wasn't specific enough. The questions I would have asked would have been. Who are gonna be our runners through the backline considering that you want to play Davey further up the ground? Where do you see Morton playing in the future? Why have we replaced Robbo with an inferior forward in Miller when the club have been preaching to everyone about youth? Schwarz knew how to play the game Miller doesn't. Schwarz used to get his kicks at CHB and then realise that he didn't have a CHF to kick to.

I would have written that you have a short memory on Davey but you rate Rivers so you must have a long memory to remember when he was a good player so it has to be the rose coloured glasses. Firstly we are the Melbourne Footaball club not St.Kilda, not Sydney not any other club. What works or doesn't work for them doesn't mean it will or won't work for us. That was my point. On Davey what were his last couple of years like before he won the B&F last year? If he continued on his form from Rnd1 he would of been traded. He's had about as many lean years as he has had good years so he hasn't been consistant. That's why I wrote that he was only getting judged highly on 1 year cos his last 2 to 3 years had been ordinary. On Moloney remember the Freo come back game when in the first quarter when under no pressure he looked up and not once or twice but three times kicked it straight down Sandilands throat? Smart players don't do that and it's not just what he does on the field it's what he done off it. When he ripped into McLean what did it achieve except a headline? NOTHING that is what it achieved. He should of waited and let his actions do the talking instead of acting like a man frustrated at the crap that is happening at the club. That was the sort of crap McLean was doing, we don't need it. On Rivers if you are happy that a non key position player gets the ball about 5 times in our backline when that is where the ball is most of the time then good on you, I'm not. He's not the player he once was. I never wrote that I'm a fan of training track heroes. I want players who perform on the field that's why we shouldn't have A captain cos no one has stood up consistantly on the field. Davey, Green and Bruce are worth having as a captain's group but for any of those 3 to be a individual captain I don't think would be a good idea because of what I have just stated. No way should Moloney, Rivers or Miller captain the club.

Firstly we have more than a few list cloggers. How can Newton be a list clogger when he's not on the list? Maybe a rookie list clogger. Newton is not the problem. The 1 year contract for Miller was an absolute disgrace. Miller would be a lot better off at another club where he can be the 19th man like Leigh Brown where he can throw his weight around, but at Melbourne he has to do a lot more. He is our No2 forward, he has to be more dangerous and kick goals. There is no use trying to be a target if you are just gonna stuff it up when you get it or not get anywhere near the ball they will just continue to double team Jurrah cos Miller rarely hurts teams on the scoreboard. I have no idea what the club see in Miller but they will pay dearly for keeping him on our list like they have for the last 3 years. Am I the only 1 who expects more than very little from Miller? He will never be the answer that Bailey is hoping for he should have learned from Daniher's experience, at least we know Robbo is capable of being the No2 forward he has been doing it his entire career.

Heard on SEN that Morton's injury is more serious than the reports have been here and is having scans on his knee tommorrow to see wether his season is over or not. Where did they play Sylvia was it in the guts or wing\half forward? Where did they play Morton before he got injured? Anyone who thinks that Scully & Trengove aren't good enough to be in our best 22 by RND 1 cause they aren't tearing teams apart can they please tell me who are gonna replace them? We have no depth at all.

I don't care about the score I just want to read that they are playing attacking, positive football. It's only a practice match and Essendon's squad looked a lot stronger than ours.

Forget about other clubs have done we are in a different situation to everyone. I don't think McDonald's leadership has worked cos he hasn't performed well enough on the ground. We don't need another captain like that IMO.
