Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

I’m now giddishly excited like an 8 yr old at Xmas

we have as good a chance of any team in doing well in the finals, but what does everyone else think we need to fix or improve make a dent?

i still think we are to sucked into ball chasing vs spread....too many teams seem to be able to go 80-90m vs us too often. We lose ridiculous rebound goals.

also, the importance of hibberd and melksham can’t be understated. They give us balance at the back and in attack. Oscar and Neville much better today with Hibberd there.

finally, conversion. We missed 5-6 sitters again...sort that out and we’ll be hard to stop.

Might as well be in it to win it this year...I think we’re a sneaky chance.

I want to agree with you but I dont think so. Playing finals is a massive tick for the club and winning a final even better. the only way we ( or anyone imo)  get close is if the Tiges get some injuries to key players. I just Dont think we're in the tigers class or even the pies tbh. Need a big recruit over the summer and a fit Viney, lever and Hogan back in the side. .

For all those young Dees, I really hope results go our way next week to earn a home final and you get to experience the MCG roar of the Dees breaking such a long finals drought.

I still remember the roar against North in our first final in 87, what a day that was and what a ride it was until we just fell short in the Prelim. Childhood memories Go Dees

I think the pre-finals week off will be a massive deal for us. So many young players and quite a few 'old' players who all can gain a lot from a proper recovery period. Not to mention a certain ruckman who must be more than a bit battered and bruised by now.

Plus, also, probable co-captain arrival may help. If he's ready.

Every team but Richmond has had at the least some really shaky patches this season, and most of the top 8 are battling injury loads and inconsistency.

Plus, you have to remember, the whole thing has been set by destiny for maximum EPIC Demon triumph.

The Pies have beaten no one (except us). Have they beaten a top 2 team yet no. Time to put the pressure on them. Richmond are playing above themselves they will be no match for us. WE HAVE THE PREMIERSHIP IN THE BAG BABY ESPECIALLY WITH VINEY COMING BACK.

Am I getting ahead of myself?

We will go back to back with Gaff and Hogan in the side.

If we can win one final would be a bonus, but don't think we can go much further than that. Would be very different with Lever, Hogan and Viney, but you can't take out that kind of talent, all of whom play key roles, and still expect to perform at the pointy end.

I almost feel like we should have two banners or quotes up the locker room at the club and on match day from now on.

Right now I'm just happy to be there. Some people might scoff at that and say its a loser mindset and maybe you're right but I personally think we need to temper our expectations. To win a final is probably all I am really aiming for but if we manage to get further of course we'll take it.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to
