Kane Cornes putting his hat in the ring suggesting that a high draft pick must be involved. And that high draft pick must come from us. Geelong receive - Oliver and a draft pick. Melbourne receive - nothing.13 points

Am i the only one happy about this? We were the 2nd worst performing midfield this year in terms of clearances. Glad our hands forced to bring in a new midfield coach - only up from here11 points

Fox is correct, Tom is my next door neighbour whom I tried to get him to Demonland 5 years ago , after he was sacked by the Dogs.He will be doing a medical this week at the club, but he WILL be at Demonland .He is looking forward to working with Gawn. He will make a great understudy , but he will be an excellent clubman and coach of the younger ones.10 points

The difference between what the rest of players do and what CP does is that other players post/repost just as much about the club they play for, as they do their external sponsorships. I can't remember the last time CP posted anything on his Insta that was MFC related. Wanna show off some fancy watch or headphones you've been gifted? Sure, go for it. But next time a player retires or hits a milestone, repost it like the rest of your teammates do. It is a team sport, after all.9 points

Being an assistant coach at Melbourne seems to be the number one pathway to a senior coaching role now! Plus, former Demon assistants just won both the premiership and the spoon. We're a trophy-winner factory.8 points

I hear Robbo is being replaced with a mirror at Gerard’s request That way he can just talk to himself and thank himself for a great show7 points

I promise you there is 0% chance we trade Clarry to make Trac happy. It’s the fastest way to make the rest of the list very very unhappy.7 points

At the moment his partner who is from Darwin is very happy with her current job and life here in Melbourne. Apparently Kozzy has expressed he would one day like to move up to Darwin. I think I heard if there was a Darwin AFL club he'd be keen to play there one day, but that was just a comment. To answer your question, home is where family is. I'd imagine one of Eyre Peninsula in SA or Quairading in WA. For now he has his little family and sister here in Melbourne with all the support from the team and is signed on until the end of 2027. The homesick thing is blown out by media, he's probably mentioned a few times in front of supporters which media will run with as him expressing wanting to leave. Its not going to go away unfortunately. Apart from supporting his family and perhaps looking to sign more indigenous players which Koz would like, there's not much more the club can do. I'm sure getting back into finals contention and Kozzy kicking bags in front of bigger crowds (hopefully!) will go a long way too.7 points

I've been on Demonland 13/14 years - minus a number of bannings. Many of my posts have been schoolboy smut ( but quality schoolboy smut ). A number of my posts have been blatant and intentional insults. But ..... some of the [censored] on this thread makes me look like a rank amateur . [censored] me ..... I'm reading and learning - I'll bounce back.7 points

Any window we have with this group is contingent on Clarry getting back to his best with us...6 points

So far this trade period we have; Kosi, Trac & Oliver on the way out Tom Campbell and Wade Derksen coming in. I’m drinking more in the off-season to cope than I did during the season proper.6 points

Unlike most other punters on here I’m bitterly disappointed Robbo might hang up the mic. I found it strangely comforting to turn onto the only journo who had sunk more booze than me that night.6 points

Listen to what the best offer is out there. If it's two first rounders including a top 10 pick this year then we'd have to seriously consider it. This whole Oliver situation in itself is becoming a distraction for the club and has been for the last two years. It's not going away anytime soon, let's see what offers are out there.6 points

It's a show I often watch . Robbo ( aka a name that that starts with S and ends with o but is censored on this site ) is an illiterate dunce. It was always more enjoyable when The Chief or Jordan Lewis or the part time dunny cleaner filled in for him. No loss.6 points

Could be coming in to do more of a mentoring role or development role like Conca. Doubt he’d be stepping into the midfield coaching role which is our most senior assistant position.6 points

Melbourne will also be paying 90% of his salary and taking on Jazza’s farming bill too.5 points

I hope his health is OK. I wish him no grief. But how on earth the man was ever chief football reporter for the Hun and on 360 remains a mystery. The man is almost illiterate.5 points

That's a ridiculously lopsided trade in our favour. If we could do Houston for a future and Sparrow I would 100% pull the trigger.5 points

Ahhhh. That old chestnut. We used to have journos that checked their facts before 'reporting' messages, for which they checked the facts first, rather than rely on suspect 'leaks', social media and being clickbait junkies, all for the sake of ratings. The likes of Morris are no more than mercenaries.5 points

Petracca won’t be the one running or posting to his non-footy Instagram account. Calm ya farms.5 points

Out of left field, what about Rory Sloane (originally from Vic) as his sister, Shae, is a coach in our AFLW program?5 points

A complete accident? Drunk as a mule and wrecking your shoulder wrestling with a team mate is not a 'complete accident'. It's a choice.5 points

I think we did lose a bit of credibility with Houston both on and off the field. The delay due to the Petracca rubbish hurt us as this deal should have a bow on it already. (Subject to us finding 2 1st round picks) When his management fielded additional offers from other clubs they went pretty hard and have offered more money and ‘better finals prospects’. Carlton is now his preferred destination. The caveat is, we have cap space and draft collateral, where Carlton currently does not. We are staying in conversations as a result. Carlton need to potentially shed more salary and find picks.4 points

Even after a disastrous year, we still were ranked 4th in Score Source Differential from Centre Bounces and 3rd from Stoppages. Not bad for a second string midfield with no skill and one paced.4 points

Another big tick for our Footy Dept and Goodwin Yze and now AM appointed to the last 2 open coaching jobs Hope WC remain a rubbish team but AM does OK (if that is even possible)4 points

Certainly played some good games for Sydney, but it felt as though his win over Gawn in opening round may have inflated his season somewhat. A player on his salary and stature should've comprehensively beaten a player of Fort's level.4 points

Well, that was a short stay at The MFC coach making factory. Obviously a good football mind but , perhaps through the weight of circumstances, we didn’t get to see much of it or much of anything good anyway. I don’t mind the thought of a clean break and a new face …. just hope we can land some quality.4 points

very good result for him hopefully it's a long-term deal for him as they need to re-develop significantly4 points

A mistake that got barely any criticism. The coverage was all boys will be boys vibe - which as much as anything probably speaks to a societal acceptance of alcohol misuse (the number one cause of ER visits by a country mile). Mills' stupidity ptetty wiped out his entire season. Was basically their only significant injury they had. Great leadership right there.4 points
-
Agree. How many complete accidents need to end in surgery? I like Mills a lot but if you were gonna make one mistake in your career then this one was a beauty.4 points
-
A big shout out to the Big O. Carried himself beautifully in the face of real adversity. The pure joy on his face was really great to see, as well as the way he celebrated with Fort. A wonderful teammate. Total opposite to Mills who had a year to forget from a leadership standpoint.4 points

Green joined the board in November 2020. Since then we've seen two presidents exit and questionable culture take hold of the club. A portion of blame should absolutely be attributed to him.4 points

With all due respect 31 you clearly have not learned anything on demonland. Where there's smoke there's fire. Morris, and now barret have suggested he could find himself at another club. They are not going to just pluck that out if there's nothing to it. I suspect the subtext is curnow had issued am ultimatum - Harry or me. I suspect there might cultural issues. McKay wants out. Kennedy treated appallingly and wants our. Looking for a new high performance manager. Houston doesn't want to go there Question marks over Voss's future. Is he the one? Where there's smoke.4 points
