Brock. 22 touches to half time and smashing them in the contested possessions rankings.

Making fools out of some demonlanders... as if that was hard given some of the tripe offered up on here against some of our players lately.

Do it again, make it a 44 possy match (20 contested).

McLean 22 disposals including ten contested to half time He's getting first to the ball. He's in his element, Geelong are a very good contested possession side, but they aren't exceptionally quick. Brock is making sure he get's there first.

Dunn, White and Bruce are playing significantly better than last week and PJ is continuing to improve - even took a contested overhead mark.

We won't win this one perhaps, but you can see what Bailey wants to achieve with this team.

Garland is currently an utterly pathetic footballer who is costing us goals whilst he is on the ground.

Sylvia refuses to man up and is doing likewise.

Very proud of White, PJ, Wheatly, Brock, and Bruce and Miller! Who would have thought!!!.

Bell and Jones are consistently [censored] disposers of the ball.

Garland made a good spoil... I don't know where the angst is coming from.

I am however planning to beat the crap out of any Melbourne player who fluffs a disposal when they are under no pressure. Dean Bailey... time to bring out the shotgun.

However credit must be given. I was dead certain that the flood gates have opened and that we won't kick a goal for the rest of the game, after Geelong kicked 7 in a row. To go back and kick 3 in return was fantastic.

Brock McLean is killing it. You can't keep a great player down for too long. Mind you, who is his opponent? Geelong are clearly not tagging him. Expect a change after half time.

PJ is coming on in leaps and bounds. Now if only he learns to kick. White is also playing a great game.

Bailey needs to keep giving Bruce big defensive jobs. He absolutely shines in these situations.

Players who are having shockers include SYLVIA (what the hell was that kick on goal?), Jones (love him, but his disposal is killing us) and Green has done very little. Carroll is doing ok on Hawkins, but his brain farts are costly.

Bartram slowly back to his best. Rivers doing his thing, he is just so important to our backline.

Please oh please don't let them smash us Melbourne. All we want is a respectable loss!

That is a very insightful statement. Do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to?

1st half positives.

- Our effort

- PJ, Brock, Bruce, Aussie, Miller

Negatives.

- Our disposal

- Jones, Bell(shouldn't take kick ins) and Garland(How does he get a game?)

Not wrong about Garland. Every other bloke when they have stuffed up has gone back for a second effort. Come on Colin all we want is effort after effort

Really proud with the way the boys are trying. So much better then the first two weeks. All we now is to get our skills and decision making right and we can start to win games.

4 goals direct from our errors - stop them and we are in this game

Second half like that and they can all be proud of what they have achieved.

BTW - How much better do we look with Rivers back

Watched the first half and our endeavor was 100 times better than the first two weeks.

Still using the switch like we've been trying for the first two weeks but it was paying off.

Our pressure on the [censored] was causing turnovers and goals on the board.

Our skills and descision making are terrible. We are the worst skilled and worst descision makering team in the AFL by a long way. If we can rectify those we will actually come close to winning games as our poor skill level cost us 5 goals in that half....

Miller was presenting really well up the ground giving the guys coming out of defence a target. Bartram was looking good with tackling a highlight.

Aussie W looks likely, you can see why they put him on the list. JRiv is just a star he gets to contests most blokes wouldn't come close to and spoils. Carroll two terrible mistakes that cost goals but has been doing well none the less.

PJ started the first really well like last week but needs to be able to run a half/full game out. White was also doing well but Blake was able to sneak away for a goal when he was sitting as a loose man in defence.

The fitness still looks lacking for mine, Geelong were able to get away a towards the end of each qtr with harder running.

Overall an improvement but we still have a long way to go. Keep working hard boys and fight it out!

It's the last 10 minutes of each quarter that are killing us. We drop off significantly and let the opposition kick 3 or 4 quick goals.

Mind you, if we only lose by 4 goals it would be an absolute miracle.

We have to go back to the forward set-up we had in the first, with Miller leading at CHF.

Pity that bloody Ling is all over McLean now. I knew they wouldn't leave McLean on his own after the break.

Now I know Davey had a foot injury during the week, but when was the last time he ran and actually tackled someone? He runs up to the player and then brushes his hand past in an half-arsed effort to tackle. It's really not good enough. He is giving us nothing!

Morton & Aussie are playing great games.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
