Not quite Fork… everyone salivates over Daicos…. If Kozzy keeps playing like this, then it’ll be close. Kozzy kicks more goals and has more offensive capability. But Daicos is more at the start of scoring chains and gets a bit too much recognition IMO.

Arguable man.

Can Garry Lyon stop [censored] touching Sparrows meat….

Slapped that meat tray 25 times in that interview

Scrappy and sloppy at times, but our fitness and willingness to push all game is impressive.

Faicos king of soft ball gets.go away insect

I'm starting to think Fritz does some of his best work after he does some of his worst.

I agree PF. But it is what it is. It annoys the hell out of me, but I don’t make the rules.

Kozzy just needs to keep this up and he’ll absolutely challenge the status quo. If there is any knock on Kozzy it’s inconsistency.

Nar more than that.. It is a potential premiership bluprint too great rucks an evolving potent forward line, Mihocek, Roo, Jeffo, Frittata, and winning mids, Glad to see Bailey Laurie arruve and Xav Taylor.. kid is already seriously good

Laurie is starting to look assured at the level, but XT is looking a little raw. Bodes well for the future though.

Had all the hallmarks of an MFC classic. Prestia winding back the block, Lynch slotting them from the boundary, no namers and debutants looking a million bucks.

But we did it. And quite easily in the end at that.

A lot has been mentioned of Sparrow and Kozzy and rightly so because they’re studs. But how about Jeffo?? Looked good to me. I expect him to miss every single shot and he proved me wrong two times out of three!

Not totally convinced he’ll be there in 10 years time but seen enough to think he might be OK at the top level.

Part of me actually thinks we can and will beat Sydney. Kingyball got me thinking cray cray things.

Go Dees!

Going down the race just before they got into the rooms, Taylor was turning around and Max kept moving him forward. What was going on there? Maybe he just thought he was going to wander off.

Don't tell me with Culls?

Almost certainly and ACL unfortunately. At least with the timing of it he should be able to to part of pre season and aim for a mid year come back. It sucks when you do it after mid round bye as you are likely to miss the next season as well.

imo XT didn’t think he should be leading the group in and wanted to step behind Max. Max being Max kept him out the front. It was a good moment.

I completely missed it.

#FML

Should have mentioned, not one, not two but three efforts in a row from Sparrow when the game was iced and dead. The kind of stuff Kingy will show on loop Monday morning.

Wasn’t alive just yet, but can’t dispute that that was a ripper mark!

The best game I’ve seen him play. He is having his best year…very pleased for him.

Why wouldn't you - purest hanger for a long time

Was that on the Richmond 1st gamer?
He'll be on replay forever more.

Not only are we 5-2 and 102%, but we’ve done that with a sneaky long injury list - Viney, Bowey, Rivers, Salem, Petty, Melksham and Lindsay all unavailable today and for multiple matches, Jiath previously missed games too, and sadly now Culley as well.

Bailey Laurie 17 disposals from half forward - was clean, one grab, while others blazed away he stopped and assessed options. Once he got the ball a few times he really started to look assured. He did some good things in tight spaces. I really hope he gets a clean run at a few games and build some confidence. Seems to love the club and be really close to the players.

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
