POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond

Featured Replies

Fox just showed Taylor walking down the race on his own with other players standing outside looking and laughing at him then he realised and came back and was a bit embarrassed. Ha ha classic.

If Tom Sparrow hadn't played his best game ever a couple of weeks ago, I'd say this was definitely Tom Sparrow's best game ever. Ooo-eee didn't take him long to start emerging from shadows and filling big boots etc etc

Windsor busy busy busy

Langdon appears to be restabilising at a very good standard after some wobbles in form in 2025.

Couple of great tackles from Fritsch made me happy. I always love seeing players do well in a weaker area.

I really enjoyed seeing several of the young players still make sure they were contributing even if it wasn't so much their day.

Speaking of which...

I saw it...

I saw the Bailey Laurie upside!

And wow does that man love his club, his teammates and simply being a part of football.

In 35 years I can’t remember a game where the umpires were so in our favour

Some of the calls were unbelievable

Long may it continue

I can’t remember watching a game of ours as blatantly terrible in our favour as that.

Fingers crossed for Culley. Really hope it's not bad news. He's had too many setbacks for someone at the start of his career.

Great to see Windsor have a big one. He's been toiling away and finally gets some reward.

Love to see so many players shining under King as well.

Koz = legend, freak.

Who’s in the top 4????

We’re in the top 4!!

Petty is in the rooms which is good to c.

I listened to Dunstall and the FoxSports commentary without watching the game or seeing the score.

After hearing all their thoughts I’m shocked and disappointed we evidently lost by 250 points- given the nature of the commentary.

Look forward to watching the game in its entirety to see how we were so thoroughly destroyed, based on what I heard.

Comfortable win in the end.
Just the way I like 'em.

Kozzies mark was gigantic.
Will go all over the world.

I’m in your boat, but remember, Sparrow stalled for essentially 4 seasons post flag. That’s not really disputable IMO.

Bloody wrapped he’s taken leaps and bounds in the last few games. Kingy unlocking potential!

Kingy going full nuffy over Kozzies mark 🔵🔴

Why wouldn't you - purest hanger for a long time

Heath with 26 hit outs. When was the last time Gawn played and had less hit outs? Would have to be Spencer era?? 2016??

Top 10 ?
After that he's #1.

Not quite Fork… everyone salivates over Daicos…. If Kozzy keeps playing like this, then it’ll be close. Kozzy kicks more goals and has more offensive capability. But Daicos is more at the start of scoring chains and gets a bit too much recognition IMO.

Whatever one wins for mark of the year should be mailed to kozzy immediately.

Best mark I’ve ever seen at the footy.

Up goes farmer! ?

Tom sparrow is putting together a superb run of games.

Easily in career best form!

If you just tuned in and saw the score you'd say that's about right.

If you looked at our point scoring your think it was actually a twelve to thirteen goal haul of a win.

But the truth is in the third quarter even close towards the end of it the game was still there for the tigers to win.

But in the last Max, KP, Fritta and Sparrow all picked up.

Well KP and Sparrow were always working hard and greatly involved , so it was more the other two that made a difference.

I thought Windsor, Steele, Langdon and Howes were very good as well.

Jeffo did a bit. Could have had four instead of two. Roo was good and did a lot of running.

Heath showed something and Lever was reasonably steady.

Chandler was on fire in the first but drifted in and out.

But the big story is a Sparrow. A bloke I wanted delisted but has played three great games to help us win three.

Max is just someone who can't be silenced. Even injured he made a huge difference in the clearances in the last quarter.

And again KP is Batman.

I hoped with Heath in the side again that King and team would look for opportunities to ease Gawn’s workload, and so it happened. Responsible player management.

Yes, and Gawn to the Fox boundary rider after the game intimated his ego has been a problem with sharing that workload.

Gawn can eke out another ‘extra’ couple years if he can bring Heath on a journey with him.

Otherwise the rucks like balta will batter him into retirement prematurely.

Culley aside, just what we needed.

Challenged early in each of the first three quarters, responded all three times. Blew it open in the fourth. Won all 4 quarters, and got our percentage back over 100%.

5-2 and 102.8%. Not many predicted that for our first 7 games.

Can’t wait to see what we can muster against Sydney next week.

Just now, “The mate ship and closeness of the group is just awesome” Tom Sparrow.

Says all you need to know about the last 2-3 years.

No more d…heads in the group makes for happier players and better cohesion and morale.

Poor Culley. I have seen enough that he can be a player. It just won’t be this year.

Big opportunity for Trent Rivers to get his body right and play some footy…

Nar more than that.. It is a potential premiership bluprint 2 great rucks, an evolving potent forward line, Mihocek, Roo, Jeffo, Frittata, and winning mids, Glad to see Bailey Laurie arruve and Xav Taylor.. kid is already seriously good

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
