kossie excellent

nice percentage boost

took a while to get going but we are running games out really well

kicking accurately which is such a nice change from recent seasons

lots to like about our game

just need to but it all together consistently. that will take time and more games in the youngsters

looking forward tithe swans game. 9 day break so we should be fresh

go dees

One of those games you bank the 4 points and probably never speak of again - except for it being the game Koz took mark of the year!

Koz, Windsor and Sparrow were amazing.

Umpiring, absolutely ridiculous lol

Really feel for Culley, hope he is ok.

Rest up boys next week is a tough one

Go dees!

Kingy going full nuffy over Kozzies mark 🔵🔴

He might not be a high ceiling guy but Laurie can play a bit, his second half after he settled was good. Some very slick touches.

Jeffo trending in the right direction too!

Max Heath played great too

Blake Howes AA watch lol

Very impressed with now we tackled (literally) that last quarter. Buried the game when Richmond still had a sniff (although we really should have done that earlier...)

Kysaiah and Sparrow were unreal.

Howes barely made a mistake all night.

Max fought back after being physically smashed in the first half.

Mihocek with some brilliant contested marks and goals.

Disco played really well on Lynch and took some great intercept marks.

Outside of the third quarter, Fritta was solid. Congrats on 300 goals!

Windsor played his best game of the season so far.

Lackluster first half, but 5 day break, 9 goal win against desperate Richmond, you have to just take the result and take a 9 day break into Sydney.

Confident we can take it up to them.

Didn't quite have the same entertainment value as our previous four wins but I'll take it. It's really pleasing to see how good we've been at running out games this year. Richmond had a real crack at it for the first three quarters but they looked spent late.

Pickett had another box office game. I reckon he has fully established himself as a top 5 player in the league. Windsor proabably had the best game of his career to date and Sparrow continued his purple patch.

I reckon we did get the rub of the green from the umps but I simply do not care as Richmond supporters are insufferable and I enjoy watching them melt.

big negative was culley

fingers crossed he is ok but didn't look good

Kozzy has arrived! Top 10 AFL player right now.

Top 10 ?
After that he's #1.

2nd or 3rd quarter the camera panned to Kingy in the box and he looked worried… finished awesome and a good result. Ended up being a great win

Moose and Steele, thank you St Kilda. What a stupid club to give away those 2 players.

Moose played a great game and it’s very comforting to know we have a genuine ruck to support and eventually replace Maxy.

Although he still made some mistakes, for a guy who consistently gets a beating probably Laurie’s best game to date. Started to see some things tonight that highlighted why he was picked as a first round pick.

A very good win in the end, but unfortunately the bad parts of our game stand out so much more than our good parts.

Kozzie, Sparrow, Windsor, Steele and Howes. Wonderful.

Sharp, Langdon, Lever. Good games

Ball handling, decision making, contested pressure. Disgraceful.

Did I mention Kozzie - goal of the year contender and mark of the year contender in the same game.

Laurie & Taylor had poor games. Latrelle and Fritsch had poor games.

So sad for Culley.

5W - 2L. Feels OK.

Windsor’s best game for a while same as Sparrow.

In 35 years I can’t remember a game where the umpires were so in our favour

Some of the calls were unbelievable

Long may it continue

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
