Another split second and the maggots would have taken it off Salem

Umpire 22 is the saddest excuse for an umpire I’ve ever seen.

What a disgraceful man.

I’m generally not one for a nuff nuff conspiracy theory, but I swear to god 22 hates us. Not 15 to Trelle, are you kidding me dude.

Against all odds against the plastic nepo baby, we are only down a goal. We can do this!

Don’t care if it’s Geelong or Collingwood. I hope they pillage the hell out of this club and hopefully it starts with Ben King leaving.

Gee some of you are miserable.

Holding our own against top opposition. They are opening us up a bit. Beatable.

A Melbourne fan must have beaten him up and stole his lunch money as a kid, it’s the only logical explanation, he always kills us.

Winning clearances this q is immense too

We are with them in the 1st. Just what we wanted

Fast attacking football is great - but you still have to defend.

Backline could be our achilles heel this season.

Should be closer. Entertaining contest so far. One day Melksham will take mark of the century, blokes’s flying for everything 💪

Anyone else loving the Corbin Middlemas call? He's one of the best sports callers and journo's imo, great on the ABC AFL Daily pod with insightful discussions and interviewing questions. had Steven King on Saturday. Absolute pleasure to have him on today! Go Dees!

Much better all round. We could easily have and should have been a goal or two up.

We can win this, just need to maintain for 3 more quarters and take our chances.

Playing with endeavour, intensity, dash and hard at the contest.

3 more quarters of that against a really good side I’ll be happy with that

Suns kick 9 metres - Mark

20m kick to Latrelle for a shot on goal. play on.

[censored] off!!

There was a kick to Rowell earlier in that quarter that honestly didn't look any more than five metres long. Called a mark straight away.

Our tackling pressure has been great especially our forwards. We are getting looks just that theirs are a bit cleaner. Our forward entries are a bit chaos which I am ok with but we need to make their entries dirty entries. Umpires adjudication of 20 metres has been [censored] woeful.

Salem's best quarter since the first of the 21 GF perhaps?

Not even close but he was very good

Geez it’s already well beyond clear, we have got to take our chances today. It’s usually the difference against quality oppo and I don’t think today will be any different

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
