NON-MFC: Round 02

Featured Replies

LOL. Player said he couldn't hear the stand call from an umpire at a Giants home game.

Humphrey (GC Suns) a sniff to get a week suspension with a sling tackle and subsequently miss our game in round 4.

So potentially Rowell, Trac and Humphrey, but they have absurd depth to cover those losses.

Wow those amazing Tigers fans huh?

Would have been 70K at the G just 6 years ago

Spot on.

There's several bandwagon's starting to look a little sparse right now.

I mean, i get it though. Why go to the footy if you dont have some hope of a win?

We lost, so I’m not in the greatest of moods, but I’ll be cheering for West Coast and Essendon.

I really want Port to go 0-2 and experience the joys of seeing North fans come crashing back down to earth knowing the team they beat last week is utter [censored].

Bombers are an absolute basket case. Perhaps even worse than WC.

They have somehow been rubbish for 10 years but have zero young players to show for it. Continually trade out draft picks for terrible players like Gresham.

Looks like the players have given up now too

Well you know they are a rubbish club when their captain wants out. And to not trade him for the picks and player offered was just typical we are just bigger than the game Essendon. Arrogant club, [censored] supporters, getting what you deserve

Long may they languish at the bottom of the ladder.

Ordinary crowd on what looks a great day in Adelaide and their first home game for the year. Will they bring the tarps back over bays of seats again

It's pretty hot to be fair. Bet the ground is packed camera side just like our game at the G last week.

that mcgrath is their skipper says volumes about where the peptides are at

i'm sure he's a good fella, but he has little impact on field

McGrath was the number one draft pick as well. One of the worst in recent times if not the worst

They could never, ever tear up the tarps.

Just read that Bailey Humphrey suspended for 2 matches for a sling tackle. That means he'll miss against us in a couple weeks.

Two matches in a row pretty much over at quarter time.

Scintillating stuff from the AFL and another team on the way about to spread the talent even thinner.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
