"On" would be the operative word, as opposed to standing 20 metres away from him.

Spirit. It is up to us as a club and of course ourselves as supporters to change this. Play good footy, supporters turn up and AFL will take notice. No one's fault but up to all of us to change. In meantime I'm comfortable watching us on Sunday afternoons in Qld at the beer o'clock time.

St Kilda play their last 10 games in VIC and travel two less times than us.

I guess that's what happens when you don't resort to selling a game, and you're able to move one of your Marvel games to the MCG in front of 85,000 people.

Show me a national global competition we’re a team dosent travel for 10 weeks

I see we have Collingwood on a Monday and then Essendon on the following Saturday.

Did anyone else have an instant flash back to 1993 when we beat Collingwood by 51 points on the Monday holiday and then Essendon by 34 points the following Saturday?

And Jakovich kicked a lazy 17 goals in that calendar week.

Groundhog Day coming up🤞

Well I’m from Gippsland so at least there’s a reliable v-line train system…oh…

Till you get to Berwick, then its Buses replace trains.... constantly!🤮

It'll be interesting to see the financials at the end of next year with so many games that will more than likely be low attendance and the two big fixtures of kings birthday and Anzac eve also being away games in the same year.

Makes a mockery of the alleged new fixturing system that teams will play their own group of 6 up to 4 times. Unless you are the AFL favourites of the moment you get shafted. Theb look at the interstate travel for the Vic sides and how unbalanced it is. Top 3 sides Hawthorn (selling games), North and Melbourne. Bottom 3 sides Carlton (4), essendon(6) and Collingwood(6) (no surprise there)

And a boring as Bat sheet game plan.
We're in the entertainment business and need to play a brand people want to actually watch.
Until we prove we can ..... Sunday arvo it is.

I prefer Sunday afternoon to Saturday evening.

Why not ask everyone who’s ever threatened to leave this site why they’re still here? Why single out PF?

People say all sorts of things they don’t mean when they’re very angry or very upset. It’s an interesting concept, perhaps you’ve heard of it, it’s called being human.

Some of us, probably the minority, are heartbroken about Clarrie’s departure. You may not share the feeling but you need to respect it nonetheless.

Yes my greeting on video from Clarry for my 60th hasn’t aged well! 😩

Maybe cause Saturday evening is past your bedtime.

If we want this club to survive into the future we need to be able keep the Mobs attention (especially kids).
Play fast entertaining footy or die.

Sorry, constant night games are rubbish for taking kids to the footy. Particularly when most with young families live towards outer suburbia these days, your looking at 12:00am - 1:00am until you get home. Doing that with pre-teen kids every week isn't fun at all.

That said, early Sunday afternoon games aren't that great either, because they tend to clash with Jnr footy, which is typically played on a Sunday.

I am so over the AFL constantly scheduling games to suit whatever their TV masters desire as opposed to the real fans. Please give us back more of our traditional Saturday 2:10pm time slot.

How's Geelongs last 3 games?

There must be a contract in play that Geelong is required to play a bottom 4 side in the final round of most seasons.

2026 - Richmond (likely bottom 2)

2025 - Richmond (17th)

2024 - West Coast (16th)

2022 - West Coast (17th)

2020 - Sydney (16th)

2019 - Carlton (16th)

2018 - Gold Coast (17th)

So disapointed with the AFL/MFC (not sure who's decision is was) that we are once again playing a home game at Marvel (again against West Coast).

A few years ago the club announced with great fan fair that they'd 'won the war' and we wouldn't play home games at Marvel, but it seems like they have totally capitulated on the issue again.

I really don't think this is an advantage and now with the pre finals bye I see this is as a distinct disadvantage. You want a proper hit out before the break.

This might partly explain the Cats poor finals performances over the past 14 years

Made finals 12 times, 9 prelims for 1 flag.

Tigers during the same period made 4 prelims for 3 flags

Sorry, primetime night games are where the eyeballs are and everything else flows from that.
Sponsorship and advertising dollars while your team is front and center as often as they can be which keeps the membership and kids attention flowing.
Sunday arvo graveyard shift are death.

People have to open their eyes.
This is the TIK TOK entertainment era.
People can't their attention span for 45seconds without scrolling on.
You reckon they're going to watch 2hrs of monotonous defensive footy on a sunday arvo.
Forken .... NO.

Thanks, MTB! I hate the formats available on-line. Your version is in a nice, neat format that can be printed out and stuck on the wall. Much appreciated!

I dont get the reluctance to announce the complete fixture, not just Rnd 0 to 16, Dees have 2 interstate games in the last 4 rounds, makles it difficult to book early for good prices on air travel and accommodation. This farnarkling with the time slots in the last 9 rounds is ridiculous.

yep, I feel the same. wish the club would fight harder for this. Now that St Kilda want to play a home game at the G, a team has to make way. not sure why it has to be us
