Just checking the stats in Rd 24 v Brisbane he had 13 disposals and 5 clangers. Might be a place to start if you are interested....

I'm not claiming he has good disposal, but I'm wary of clangers as a measure for this.

Clangers are an error made by a player that has a negative impact on their team, such as kicking or handpassing the ball directly to an opponent, dropping an uncontested mark, or conceding a free kick or 50-metre penalty.

Not just fluffed disposals.

In fact a direct turn over can also be an effective disposal, if it's kicked more than 40m to a 50/50 contest (assumable assessed based on numbers at the contest) but marked by an opposition player.

Yeah agree its not the best measure just that it was a place to start if you want to see how he plays.

I watched the first quarter of the rd 24 Bris v haw game and his positioning for a defender was terrible. was beaten a few times simply because he was standing in the wrong place.

He might develop and I can see why they want backup for an athletic running defender (keep in mind we lost Joel Smith as well from back there) but I will wait to watch him more closely before firming any judgement

Joel Smith in my opinion was a better forward than a defender because he was always getting injured. CJ could possibly end up as a forward it depends on the Demons brain tust.

CJ could end up as a forward. Why is a certain person I mentioned get canned by ....... but is able be mentioned in jnrmac post. So unfair

CJ really looks the goods in our colours, pretty sure our new coaching group will work with him to get the absolute best out of him. Can’t wait to see him bursting forward, ball in hand big smile on his face. Looking good CJ.👍

Well I’m excited

I'm not as i think CJ has taken it all.

Hope he does well.

He's one of those.. well could be ho hum... or crikey a real Jack in the box.

With good coaching and mentoring ( different things ) he ,could build into something as the whole team does.

Quite exciting to watch.

Good luck CJ and welcome to the Dees !!

Great pick up imo, him , kos , and windor would be close to the quickist players in The league, add chandler, AMW, bowey along with the power run of langdon and hopefully the drafting of one or two more pacey mids and or small forwards (Grjl and pickett) suddenly we transform from a one paced slow team into a quick fast moving running team.
