I think weโ€™ve ALL been guilty of that on occasion CF (including your good self, no doubt), but I think in this case, the responses this Bowserpower poster has been on the receiving end of, have been totally justified.

Those who remember back to the good old days of Demonology will see this as nothing more than good humoured banter! How we've mellowed over the years that we now see this sort of stuff as requiring comment and posturing.

Bring back a full on Hannabal and you'd know what confrontation was all about!

I thought I read on here a while back that Hannabal was on here posting with a different user name. Someone called him out and referred to him, but I can't recall the name.

Ah yes, I was a participant in Demonology until those brothers (were they brothers?) spoiled everything in an effort to take over the site.

Hannibal, my arch nemesis RobbieF and others too numerous to mentionโ€ฆ plenty of good old fashioned [censored] fights back thenโ€ฆ now itโ€™s somewhat like the difference between good old boots and all VFL and the sanitised AFL we now tolerate (not that thereโ€™s anything wrong with that) ๐Ÿ˜

Gator, but like me, he's mellowed.

You haven't mellowed, unless it's post a glass of red. ๐Ÿท ๐Ÿ˜‰

On the Melbourne bigfooty board it can get pretty brutal. Maybe not demonology levels, but it is pretty unfiltered.

Whenever I see this thread bob up on page 1, I automatically think something has happened.

Apparently it did a few pages back.

Lets see how he handles the injury and they handle him.

Could be a lesson in it...

The old 'Ology days were Sunday morning boghole footy with one umpire..

Tom Green possible ACL.

Lucky they got Clarry.

Oliver won't do much at Greater Western Sydney. Spent force.

I disagree. Heโ€™ll get back to his best.

How much extra would they have paid if the timing was reversed (i.e. ACL >> trade week). Even if Clarry is not at his best, they are almost identical in type of skill level and role.

The pre-season attitude that has Oliver primed for Giant...

Adam Kingsley is confident Clayton Oliver can rediscover his best at the Giants

Very committed and training like the Clariie of old.

Puts even more pressure on Clarry now I reckon. Hope he can handle it.

That might be curtains for GWS in terms of a flag - already down Kelly, Darcy Jones and (now) way more critically Green.

Can see this going one of two ways for Clarry:

1) He takes Green's role and runs with it. He gets back to his best and the AFL lauds the player and club for making such an astute list management call as they finish top 4 or 6

or

2) He can't get back to his best. GWS give him a huge responsibility as the premier inside mid but he can't fill the void that Green's left. GWS miss the top 10 and Clarry has another middling year such as 2024 and 2025.
