Shoutout to @samcantstandya

Well I sincerely hope we win today since I’ve been promising folks left, right and centre I’d bring the four points home. 😅

Lucky socks are on.

If we’ve been refreshed by the break, and can find the big sticks more often than not, we are a slim chance. I know it’s a big IF, but I’m sticking with the “team we love”, cos I always do. Dees by not much! ❤️💙

Who are we playing?

stupid bloody suns

I don’t like all the changes but what do I know!

With the lucky socks and goal kicking boots. Who nose what’s possible

Like our backline structure. Don’t love our forward set up (but when have I) and will be able to see whether we have post bye learnings for our midfield based on the CBA mix during the first quarter.

Best of luck to Jeffo who after a few soft kill 5 goal VFL games had his best big boy footy game in the VFL last game against Essendon VFL. Hopefully he takes that attack on the ball and demand on the lead into today’s game.

I'm not confident at all. I know we've had 3 losses in a row and will look to bounce back, but so have the Suns and they'll be absolutely determined to not let this one slip.

I think Max King will get a hold of May unfortunately and he could be on the chopping block at next week's selection.

Suns by 37.

I'm the opposite.

I'm actually really confident about how well go today.

We'll be as fresh as we're ever going to be given we're coming of our bye.

Conversely, the AFL has done us a solid as the Suns are off a six day break and travel.

And the suns gws game, which I watched, was a very intense, high pressure game with lots of arc to arc running so will be no easy thing to back up from.

In terms of our method, we match up well against the suns I reckon.

They have a leg speed advantage but i think our selection has in part looked to negate that advantage.

I agree they will be desperate to win after 3 losses on the trot, but as you note so will we and I'm not convinced beng desperate to win nessarily translates to doing so (the Suns were desperate to win last week).

Dees by 17.

12:30? How am I supposed to get stuffed done?

Easy.

Take my approach today - do stuff all.

It’s gameday baby. Pumped!

About to consume a few tasty alcoholic beverages to warm the cockles before the big game.

Go Dees!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
