Wherever we finish this year the number one priority in the off season has to be finding quality forwards - big and small

Reckon on balance we have the worst group of forwards in the comp

Too many back slippers at this club.

They have a few wins and suddenly think the wins will keep coming.

And as always we are slapped back into reality when expected to perform.

Pizz poor.

Collingwood will be kicking their lips.

100 per cent and it's been the way since I've been following (late 80s).

We win a few games and think we're world beaters, have no idea how to win when playing as the hunted.

You knew in the first 5 minutes the mindset they turned up with today and it is an embarrassment to the club and a slap in the face of the supporters.

Can we get Keeler? Knows how to kick a goal. Has kicked nearly half our team’s goals.

What a seriously gross way to end our season.

7 18 is completely unacceptable

3 brain cells between the lot of them

Keeler = Kent Kingsley. A [censored] spud

The number of times today we've handballed to a player who gets tackled straight away is up there with our misses.

Still time.

Unfortunately not

4 goals in less than 10 minutes is way beyond us.

We're not Collingwood !!

Edit .. make that 5

I turned it off at half time for my sanity as I'd seen more than enough.
I'm just here for the comments.

[censored] NT!!! are we that hard up we still need to sell game to the [censored] NT?????

Your on the chopping block Simon!

Chocco what the [censored] is your role at the club????

7 goals 19 points. Fuc me!!

Oh another [censored] point

Can someone give us a rundown of our total goals and total pionts for the season?? Shizzen Goodwin this is down to coaches

Can we start the post-game thread yet?

I'm really keen to hurry up and not bother posting on it.

What a way to throw away a season.

I hate Zak Jones. The total opposite of his brother. A bog ordinary faux tough guy and a sook.

Ha Dwayne calling St Kilda a possible final 8 team. That the best one I have heard.

This game can be summed up by Kozzies first lazy shot at goal.

Sums up our entire intensity.

We look tired.

And our midfield got spanked all day.

I think we lost our chance to play finals today and it's our kicking that did it.

Just like our two finals campaigns in straight sets. The story continues for three years.

Talk about inertia. No wonder it took us 56 years to win a flag.

Too slow to fix clear lingering issues.

Pressure factor of 134 in a last quarter where we are behind. Disgraceful.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
