Coming from a fan that's watched every single Dees game from the time I could remember, Spargs has been through thick and thin with us and is still a great player but in my opinion, I feel like Sharpy just effects the game and has a more positive impact on the 'new' way we are trying to move the ball. I'm also really interested in seeing Culley to be givin a go in that forward line too. To see his explosiveness and even his slight height advantage be brought into our game would be great, obviously only if he plays well. Let me know what you think, I could be waaaaay off target.

Sharp might have pace, which is handy, but Spargo has ball use, and with the new method, if you can't chain, you can't score.

Haven't seen enough of Culley to comment on him.

Spargo is slow of foot therefore is poor defensively. Over rated with his fwd entries and disposal impact. Struggles to get 10/12 disposals per games.

Sharp has been disappointing so far.

I would like to see Curley be given a go when ready. He may be slow but he is strong, hard and can take a mark. He is an accumulator of the ball and can kick goals.

spargo is a 100 game premiership player

sharp is at his second club and a regular sub starter

Absolutely. Check out Sparg's involvement in the chain for Kossie's goal Petty handballed him, his footy IQ is off the charts, Sam Mitchell-esq (My favourite non Demon)

Hmm not much of a choice. Sharp is poor. Spargo is ok on good days and who knows on Culley with no senior games and just starting out.

I want Chuck Spargo in my team. Happy with Sharp/Henderson being subs/understudy as depth.

I do imagine Culley will force his way into the picture sooner rather than later though

Spargo I feel gets a lot of disrespect on here. People have been screaming out for him to get more possessions.

He gets 19 last week with some very good ones and it’s still not good enough for some. Guess people made up their mind a long time ago.

Agree you ARE waaaay off target.

Spargo is nowhere near a great player. He is a good team man & role player.

Culley's disposal is barely at AFL level, just turns it over too much.

So far Sharp has shown little. He has pace but seems timid & has average skills - about on par with Oskar Baker.

Thoroughly agree with this. A lot of his work goes unnoticed - deft kicks and the like.

I love Spargo because he is eminently team-first and has moments of true football genius, but gee I as he was just that little bit stronger, a little bit quicker and could kick that little bit further with the same effectiveness.

Just a few tweaks and trims and he'd be Brent Harvey level small mid-forward, but as it is he is just barely sustains a place at AFL level and if he is off even a little he drops well below.

I guess you could say his advantages come in moments while his disadvantages continue all game.

Sharp has been underwhelming so far.

Culley will need to do a lot more at Casey to be considered.

I would like to see Charlie given a couple of mid field minutes each quarter, to add variety to our mix and give him the chance to extract a couple of clearance possessions.

He played midfield as a junior.

I haven't been a fan of Spargo this year (due to his return from a long lay off) but I thought he moved as well as he's had for a while and played a decent game last week.

Given Sharp's been sub the last 2 weeks, I'd suggest he's on the border line and probably needs to play a really solid game sooner rather than later. Not convinced he'll be in the side in the back half of the year but I like his ability around goal.

Haven't seen much of Culley in his West Coast days but did see him kick 4 goals against Port in 2023 which is nothing to sneeze at. If he can't break into the side this year it probably means we've (touch wood) had a good run with injuries to our mids and they're also performing.

Spargo burnt a few forwards plays last week that should have resulted in a score. In a loss, they would have stood out. A good handball in a win, and he is a genius.

I love his determination and attitude on ground, but his impact is at best average. 19 disposals last week will most likely be his season high in 2025. He averages under 12 disposals per games.

Interesting, I saw Culley pre season and thought...WHO is this guy?? Would love him to get a go and also Riley Bonner if a spot opens up mid year!

Not sure what it looked like on TV but I think I can gladly say that Sharpy performed at a way higher standard than Spargo did with only having about half a quarter to play. Not even trying to force any hate but Spargo plays some what for himself and tries to do too much. Haven’t checked his efficiency yet but it can’t be anything good.

Sharp did one cool thing coming on completely fresh but otherwise looked like his usual not clever football.

Spargo had great work rate consistently in the right spots defensively and in attack. Agree he probably did a bit too much and had one classic example of that with the kick to Pickett that went wrong.

But thinking Sparp is better than Spargo is fundamentally not understanding what you’re watching.

I'm far from a Spargo fan but he's been pretty good the last two games.

Sharp offers very little other than pace and an aerobic tank, but the latter is redundant if he's only playing a quarter as sub. His skills are too poor to do much else.

I like Culley and if we continue to struggle in the middle when we start playing better sides, I'd like to see him get a crack.

Sharp doesn't get involved enough, Culley had the kind of disposal we are trying to move away from.
