Which team would you LIKE to see win the flag this year?

This is not necessarily the team you THINK will win it.

I voted for GWS.  Go the Oranges!

Your vote is secret, but anybody who selects Geelong will be hunted down then tarred and feathered.

As it stands, no votes for Cats. People either hate them or scared of you - my theory is the latter.

Damn, that is a pretty dire selection.

I'm sick of Sydney and their unreasonable draft concessions.

Any chance Hawthorn can be disqualified and Fremantle get a crack at it?

A premiership for Hogan would be nice.

Fagan finally cracking it would be alright but is there a way he can get there without the rest of Brisbane also winning?

As someone who finds coach-bashing to be an odious pastime, I'd manage an amused smirk if Hinkley won a premiership, too.

I absolutely do not want Sydney, Geelong or Hawthorn to win it. Sick of the sight of them.

Yeah, that's about all the feelings I can dredge up for this finals series.

Sydney or GWS. I remember after Brisbane won their first of a triple in 2001 that the following day it was like nothing had happened. No gloating fans in anyone's face. An all-Sydney GF would be perfect.

GWS because they have no fans so won’t have to deal with any gloating.

and who voted for Carlton? I suggest a site ban for a while to help get their mind right.

It's truly a process of elimination, isn't it? In which case, out the door go Geelong, Carlton, Brisbane and Hawthorn in a hurry. GWS are inoffensive except for Toby Greene (I have a long memory; enough said).  That leaves 3 contenders; I admire John Longmire.

I assume it was the one lonely Carlton fans on this site

Jesse 😊

Reckon there is still some ❤️and 💙in his heart.

GWS, Port or the Dogs for me.

Although at this point I’m going to have to barrack for whoever is playing Geelong or Hawthorn.

I'm agin the Dogs because I'm full to the gills with anger over the soft ride they enjoy from the umps. It happens too often. Watch the highlights from their flag in 2016!

If Port wins I will leave the state for a few weeks.

All Sydney GF would be great.

Yeah I'd take that for a grand final.

I’m hoping all the stadiums doors get stuck and no one is able to open them, resulting in the cancellation of the season

I'm hoping they lock the stadium gates at quarter time and throw away the keys.

There is some red & blue there Luci. My brother in law met him a couple of months ago on the plane from Sydney. He mentioned my mum was a Demons fan of many decades. So Hoges said meet me when we get off the plane and I'll record a message to her on your phone. Sure enough, my BiL gets off the plane and there is Jesse, away from the rest of the Giants, standing waiting for him. Part of the message to mum was "I still love the Dees and have some great friends there".

So yeah , GWS for Jesse is my vote

I tried to pick one for 5 minutes but I just can’t. I dislike all those teams for various reasons.

Swans, Cats and Hawks are always winning so they are top of my dislike list

GWS.  They were robbed by the umpires against the Ferals for their chance to play in a GF last year - which more likely than not would have won. Good luck to them for this year

(Hawks playing the most crowd pleasing footy at the moment)

What a guy!  I choked up reading that.

I still think of him as 'Our Jesse'.💞

I want the Prelim’s to be Sydney, GWS, Brisbane and Port - mostly because the AFL will have a heart attack at no football in Melbourne and a guaranteed double interstate grand final.

I want to inflict maximum financial damage on the AFL. The last 12 months I think they’ve jumped the shark and waded way too far into the entertainment sphere with how they’ve tried to manufacture and influence outcomes to protect their interests.

I was going to give that a 💗until I saw the Hawks part ... sorry.

Who would be those friends?

Max, Viney, Clarrys?

GWS the the Dogs

got some cheeky $ on both

Anything to inflict maximum pain on the afl and their valued partners - agree with the comment above

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
