Great game by Harvey yesterday. 👏👏👏

Three goals. 22 possessions. Importantly 557 metres gained.

He’s still a kid with lots to learn but his skill, desire and will to win are clear signs of a very bright future.

It's a bit of an indictment on our front half when a 19 year old first year midfielder is our most dangerous forward option.

Keep on keeping on young Harvey.

No doubt in a few years when his body is'steel' hardened he will be very dangerous as a forward who plays mid to the elite level.

I do not want to 'moz' him but I think he will be a way better forward than Tracc in time.

Very strong overhead and his hands are exceptionally quick in tight with the ball.

At 191cm the Bison is the same height as Jake Waterman of WCE but Waterman can't play mid.

Chance of taking the Rising Star off Ashcroft. Mid possessions plus goals matter.

Champion data had him as the highest rated ball user vs the Hawks in Rnd 9 on Saturday 💪🏼

I’d leave him on the wing. He’s rarely if ever beaten one on one, has great hands, good vision and a beautiful kick, happy for him to drift forward and kick 3 goals whenever he wants though.

I like him wing for the moment, floating into the middle at times and then floating forward ala the Hawthorn game.

But I think in time, he'll be another Trac, in that he'll be dangerous forward and in the middle. And can wax with Trac.

It wasn’t a position I envisioned for him at the start of the year but I think it’s been a master stroke by the coaching staff

Allows him to use his size and strength against undersized wingers, as well as his skills, smarts and positioning to get the ball on the outside

It also means he can naturally drift forward to take fwd 50 marks like he did last weekend

He’ll be an inside bull one day but for now it’s a great position to allow him to impact games while still developing his body/tank

Excuse me Jay Clark but what did Harvey ever do to you?

That’s terrific praise for Harvey.

Interesting that according to Hoyne, Fritsch had one of the best debut years of anyone since 2010, and Langford is on track to also have one of the best debut years too.

Possibly his best game yet. I know he kicked 3 against the Hawks earlier this year but today everything he did was damaging. On top of his use of the ball by foot, I was really impressed by his releasing handballs and decision making.

Total gun. Such a good decision maker, great positions and game awareness.
