Take that all you revolting mud raking, rumour mongering idiotic journalists.  Now go bother some other club.

Not just the media. Throw in the absolute morons on here who will have to back track a million miles an hour now. 227 pages of absolute dross. He was never going anywhere.  Absolute champ.

How's Sam McCluess feeling? He's two from two. [censored].

This saga is not over, but I am so happy to see him commit to the club. Real change is still needed, but it'll be worth it with Trac as a part of this club.

our choice would probably be

- get done over and accept an unders deal

or

- no deal and keep an unhappy probably disruptive camper and have to go through the same process the next year

The get deal done for unders is the most likely scenario IMO.

Frankly, would prefer he was gone. Prima Donna. Going to need some strong leadership from Max, Viney and Jake, but I wonder how much damage he's done to himself internally and with the playing group.

I’m not normally a conspiracy theory kind of guy but I’m pretty confident Trac, @Demonland and @binman orchestrated this whole charade for extra clicks.

Can you imagine the increase in google ad revenue from Demonland?

Always follow the money.

Whilst I’m always glad a player of his kind wants to stay we still need a change.

we need a change in Pert and Roffey

We need a change in coach or game plan.

We need a change in how we support the boys. Get down to the games, make some damn noise!

Now to get Kozzy to want to stay and be a demon for a few more years! (Although I hope until the end of his career)

Far out, some of you are pathetic. He doesn’t speak, you go after him, he does speak, oh that’s not good enough. Things needed to change and hopefully things are in motion.
I’m glad he’s rattled a few cages. A lot of the stuff in the media could be full of [censored]. I mean how many times are they wrong. Here’s a prime example

Problem is McLure muck rakes but doesn't say anything concrete so he cant be called out because he never confirms anything and has an easy way out, he is an award winning journalist who had his award rescinded

There is something for sure in what you're saying Bing.

This is but a chapter ...in a longer book

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
