    i don’t know the details of his current contract, but he struck it at his high water mark, and NO club is going to offer a recently seriously injured 29 year old gun player a better five year deal than he’s on now. 
    And there’s zero chance the MFC would pay part of his salary to facilitate a trade.

    It’s all smoke and bravado.

    it seems the longer this saga goes on the more everybody's brand is going down the toilet

    tracc's advisors have certainly adopted a strange strategy to date

    it's going to be a lot more than just bridges burnt ... more like carpet bombing

    The Herald Sun can reveal there is a process through the AFL’s collective bargaining agreement where he could ask the AFL to step in to broker a trade through mediation if all attempts to convince the Demons he wants a new start fail.

    The grievance tribunal is the nuclear option and has never been used before but is detailed in the AFL’s collective bargaining agreement.

    The AFLPA is aware of the grievance tribunal, with some player agents in the league believing Petracca would have a case given the list of issues he has with the Demons.

    The first option for Petracca would be opening up on his reasons for a trade - redacted various issues -which could help force the club’s hand.

    No way would they help him get to the club he wants. AFL have no interest seeing a star player walk out on his club without the club getting a fair return

    There's a few who would and who have the trade capital: North, Richmond, WCE, GCS etc. Doesn't fit what he's saying he wants, but they are out there.

    Nor do they have any interest in the integrity of their contracts being brought into question. Nor the integrity of their medical team who signed off on our management of his injury.

    The whatever it takes strategy. Appears there is a very short list of high profile clubs his group wants him to go to and appear prepared if they have to, use rough house tactics and bullying to get the desired destination.

    I almost want it to go this way to show Christian whose brand matters most, it would not be pretty for Brand Petracca if he went against the AFL

    He can air all his grievances at a “grievance tribunal “ but the AFL are not going to acquiesce to his demand  to only go to a big club nor would they countenance the MFC not getting the proper compensation. After all we would only be holding him to his contract if we don’t get adequate compensation.

    I mean how many clubs want to spend a million bucks a year on a player that prospective teammates thinks is a diva?

    May well be if Blues want tracc they have to move on a big money player  for cap reasons.

    One point that hasn’t been brought up in this thread is; If he does have a preferred destination club or clubs surely he would have been in communication with these clubs to gauge any interest in his future services. If they declined then highly unlikely he would have pulled this stunt on us.

      Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention.
