lol..If its off the table he'll have nothing to talk about all trade week.

Oh yes he will. There is no such thing as stooping too low for Barrett.

If Melbourne trades Clarry, ‘Dees are stupid to let him go’

If Melbourne doesn’t, ‘AFL should step in and fine Dees due to restraint of trade’

Trac will play more forward than midfield next year

That would be disappointing.

Trac's at his best as a mid, and we're at our best when he's in the midfield.

If Trac was going to kick 5 every week per the Carlton game, I'd be all for it, but that's not going to happen.

I have made an official complaint re this post on the AFL website, as it implies that the AFL is supporting Barrett to undermine the Melbourne Football Club, I will keep everybody posted on the sort of reply I get, helpful knowing a couple of 'independent' journalists if I get the brush off.

Clarry is going to build upon his health and happiness with a HUGE preseason to start next year FIT and FURIOUS.

He'll take this holistic wellbeing to bring out the midfield beast we all know and love in 2025 destroying oppo everywhere, and likely claiming, another, Bluey, AA and AFLCA.

He is not going anywhere except for the gym and a few rounds of golf with the lads.

You can take that to the bank.

The club will regret not trading one of the players you mentioned because (you have a feeling) one or more will request a trade next year? I don’t think your post will be viewed as “unpopular”, more so just bizarre.

I think the belief is that this years draft, offers us the best chances to get replacement midfielders. Not holding my breath of Oliver and Trac improving their value next year. Trac may struggle post injury and take time and who knows with Clarry. My post is purely about risk vs reward of offloading this year to rebuild talent.

It gives you a reference number, which I can quite happily follow up direct with a few AFL personages, easy to find emails.

I am seriously over this so called modern sports journalism

Fair call SPC. Apologies if my post came across as rude.

In saying "By some people around Clayton" Barret is referring to the reporters hiding in Clarry's bin and laundry basket.

That would amaze me but if you know that, then you know it. But I stand by what I said. He is forever kissing Geelong's you know what, and on the rare occasions that he isn't, he is bagging Melbourne.

The only team he bags more than Melbourne, is North Melbourne, who he does support. But he has a weird obsession with Geelong.

Lamb and co. can deny that Oliver was "shopped around", but we wouldn't have 100 pages of "Oliver trade rumours" if he wasn't.

I think it's probably a question of semantics. For Lamb, back-room offers and calls to check on availability or hint that player X could be available for the right place are probably everyday occurrences.

For the rest, we don't know who did what in all this. Between MFC, Geelong, Oliver's manager and any number of others who might have been across what was gong on, we'll probably never know the details.

This will be hugely unpopular, but I believe with limited knowledge of the internal situation, that Melbourne will regret not trading one or more of Clarry, Trac or Kos. I have a feeling that one or more will request a trade next year.
Happy to be wrong, hoping I’m wrong..

I suspect at least two and probably all three will

Geez, I hope the talent pool in the 2025 draft is a good one, sounds like we are going to have about 10 first rounders

I reckon we're a distant second behind Gold Coast. He has been brutal on them all year.

You can say that about all journalism these days. Just propaganda and mushroom farming whether it’s sports, geo politics, identity, left or right, there’s bull for every demographic. 90% one reads or sees in MSM is pure bull and hype. MSM doesn’t make money from traditional sources anymore like advertising, direct sales or subscriptions like it used to. Once it could keep a modicum of independence because it could generate its own finances. Now it relies on shilling for vested interests that now pay the bills.

Relevance? He never stated DB was a Geelong supporter & it seemed fairy correct. DB is very pro-Geelong.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
