Great win, Go Demons

Very nice win without some of the best players in our squad. Good job boys!!

Form an orderly queue to make your apologies to Goody here please…

My thoughts exactly.

Noone will.

Awesome, awesome win.

Umpires did everything they could to make a game of it.

Not really, much like the rest of the news, it depends where you choose to get your opinions from. 😅

That’s our DNA!  ❤️💙

Let's [censored] go!! Always good to beat that smarmy pack of scumbags especially when they would've gone outright 2nd. Umps tried to get them back in the game, bloody disgraceful. Real team effort with exception of one player who must get dropped next week.

Even umpire 22 can’t spoil that

Whew! Felt a bit of movement at the station there in the final minutes, but overall a performance full of merit. Still a long way to go this season, but we're putting together some solid footy again.

Bowey and Sparrow are just not up to it at the moment. I shudder any time they're near the ball whether they have it or not. Bowey has some solid kicking skills but he's just too small. Sparrow has a solid frame but his intensity is so so poor. In contrast McVee and Windsor are constantly on the move and working at high intensity.

Van Rooyen sacrificed his forward game today to put in a manful performance in the ruck. Great work from him and Turner. Petty was there also.

McDonald, May, Lever very influential in the backline.

Guts and determination prevailed!

That was bizarre umpiring in the last 5 minutes.

For example the bombers throwing the ball all night and they pluck one out of nowhere against rivers.

I don't care if we don't play finals, fixing up that mob is worth the membership price alone.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
