Maybe there is better footage than what I saw. But I’d like to know why Berry didn’t get fined for staging. From the grainy footage I saw it looked like Butters gave him a pretty soft tap with his non preferred left arm as he ran past. From Berry’s reaction you would swear he had Mike Tyson give him a brutal kidney punch. While we are at it, why didn’t the Brisbane medicos cop it for not immediately sending Berry for scans at hospital. He clearly could have had a ruptured kidney. 1 1 Quote

Hatchman 539 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 It set an appalling example to all the other players, especially the junior ones. It was a disgraceful act, the fine should have been a hell of a lot more Our club needs to be better than this, little wonder that we are having the season that we are having, with players resorting to this kind of behavior. It is embarrassing. 1 Quote

I can understand MFC supporters being [censored] off when it gets ignored until it's us in the sights. 2 Quote

He's expecting players to pile on top of him to force a stoppage. So he brings his arm up to protect himself and his head. So he's getting fined for protecting his head? AFL is rigged. And you my friend are living in Disneyland. May got what he deserved, but has more than enough credits in the bank for me not to worry about. Finally a serious question, why do so many supporters think there’s a conspiracy between the AFL& umpires against the MFC? Im not being a smartarse, just really interested 2 Quote

The overall effect may appear similar. 2 1 Quote

DemonOX 8,857 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Did May stage for a free kick, yes. Do other players stage for free kicks, yes. So why oh why do we always have to be front and centre for this type of media attention. I am so sick and tired of media scum coming after our players and when other players do it it’s basically glossed over and forgotten about within 24 hrs. The media do really pizz me off. FFS FIND ANOTHER TEAM TO HOUND. 2 1 1 Quote
Graeme Yeats' Mullet 6,794 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 If May didn't stage for this free, the Ump would have paid HtB without a shred of Prior Had a clear view and was watching the controlling Ump, it was obvious he was itching to pay HtB, clearly no prior, but was waiting the long slow theatrical wait, then I think got a call in the ear from another Ump They were egging on North by that stage So staging Yes, but better than alternative gift to North 4 2 Quote
