Congratulations Kynan looking forward to seeing you out on the G Saturday night.

Fascinating the threads that get preferred ongoing attention to ones like these.

Thanks, @DeeZone, and go Pup!

I need to acknowledge attention (mixed!) on pregame thread

Best of luck pup, hopefully the first of many and the start of a long career

I hear Malthouse and Cornes don't rate Brown

(trying to get some posts going)

With this weeks 'ins', joining Chin and Kossie, and when that Casey beanpole clicks, all we'll then need is the other young White to join us and 'K' will become the new 'J' at the Dees!

(...though oh for the sensible days of Ken, Kevin, Keith, even Kit)

Tom Morris reporting the Brown family were unhappy ANB made the debut announcement, when they were promised Kozzie.

Apparently Tom morris got this story from a Collingwood source.

We certainly need some energy and enthusiasm within the group so I think this debut is a great call

Can't wait to see him in action! How's his form been at Casey? Haven't been following too closely

Musing on this good news based entirely on a couple of pre-draft clips and reports from Casey-watchers - am I on the correct planet when I feel like Kynan might gradually fill a very similar role (positionally and 'attitudinally' to Nibbler?

Can never have too many honest workers who produce the occasional outstanding game in amongst a consistent team-oriented body of work.

Kynan is certainly a goer & good luck to him. I've seen most of Casey games this year & I reckon AMW is more developed & has been in better form but what would I know.

Great observation Little Goffy.😁

Best of luck to him. I was impressed with him in his draft year. He's got a great work ethic and loves to crack in and try to use his speed too. His attitude could carry him far as a player, but he's still got some size to put on to compete at AFL level. His ceiling and aim would be an ANB pressure and link type player at the level.

Keen to see how he goes against North. Won't die wondering!

Just saw his latest photograph today and he has morphed into a clone of his dad.

Always great to see a debut. However, I am surprised. I would have thought others from Casey were ahead of him for a debut (AMW for example) but I think it is his two way running, attitude and adaptability that might have given him the nod.

His dad was one of my favourite players: dogged and consistent, but also had a great side-step and feint to throw opposition players away from him. It would be great to see this passed down the genetic line.

Watched the announcement video and the BCNA visit video as well. Both great vids and the second one a great initiative by the club. You can't stay down too long as a group and it was great to see the boys energised.

'Go and be a great little teammate'

Love* it.

* Speaking of; fathers and sons expressing love for/to eachother. The world is sometimes getting better.

And this - another player reflecting positively on Greg Stafford: 'Staff's been huge'. I guess it could mean they like what he gives, rather than it necessarily being effective in games, but...

Amw is only good at getting cheap positions of half back, can't get a kick anywhere else

How does Kynan get a game in front of AMW?

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
