Petracca - left nothing behind 

Neal-Bullen - in and under 

Gawn - fought the fight

Viney - not a tagger

Oliver - regularly butchered possessions 

Sparrow - energy and endeavour

Windsor - persisted and energetic 

Billings - some innocuous possessions

May - reliable and impressive 

Chandler - little forward pressure 

Rivers - important all game

Langdon - rarely broke lines

Bowey - an impressive return

Lever - had no influence 

McDonald - some crucial errors

van Rooyen - little to commend

Howes - was rarely noticed

McVee - a quiet game

Pickett - a disappointing performance 

Fritsch - was well held

Petty - riches to rags

Woewodin - had some moments 

Turner - another nothing game

jack billings - added some class

Given the startled deer in the headlights first quarter and the persistence with dry weather tactics in the wet. The club will employ a Maasai dietitian, add blodplatter onto the luncheon menu and use hermatogen as a gameday snack. Tom McDonald can fire up the barbecue but the steaks will be strictly rare. Ben Brown will of course be excused.

The Waverley Park irrigation technician will bought out of retirement to manage Casey Fields during future training sessions.

I thought Howes had some good moments, despite being part of a backline that was well beaten in the first. He seems very calm under pressure

Interesting that a lot of the players who had big games last week were flat.

Kozzie, Langdon, Lever, Fritta, Petty and Oliver in particular.

no finals team with a chance can afford this error we need a dedicated forward coach with ability and expertise in the forward line. This is not to denigrate existing coaches  but it is not good enough.

it is wasting the talents of Gawn Viney Petrarca and Oliver not to mention Salem

May and Lever   These players were too hard to get to waste.  One flag is not enough it’s a fail !

It made me think a bit about the 2002 preseason when Daniher threw Neitz into the ruck and he played physical and angry. From that point onward he was a beast.

Stafford shouldv have bee delisted after last year even though injuries were a mitigating circumstance. 
Thought Mini might have turned it around although our entry and some aspects are a lot better than last season. Individual training on forward skills is necessary to get that aspect up to scratch. It’s also the consistency aspect of being ON and able to kick straight.

JVR is still learning the game but has the necessary agro and drive.

I thought he was ok last night.  Would love for Fullarton to come in so JVR can actually play a whole game up forward.  From being at the game, seems to start either deep forward or on the bench, about 8 min mark goes into the ruck, does 8 odd minutes in the ruck heads off the ground then gets back on for the last 5 odd minutes each qtr as a forward.

Never plays our deepest forward, that seems to be Fritsch, which didn't work last night
