This is lovely to watch the cats being destroyed, perhaps they all believed last week was just an off night!

Chris Scott is not happy as his players are having a shocker of a night. They are playing witches hats and it can be the only excuse…..

At least we're not the only team losing the game in the first quarter.

Premiership favourites to this…

Richo: "That's not a big statement...oh yes it is big...actually its massive!"

Both (us and Geelong) teams coming out so far off the pace after last week’s game speaks volumes about how tough a game it was in those conditions.
Last night hurts so bad as all we had to do was play the first quarter at our standard and it was an easy win.

Oh well onwards and upwards, I hope Geelong continue to embarrass themselves but we need them to get a bit closer to keep us in the four.

Commentators constantly making excuses for the Cats.

“they’re off aren’t they? strange”

[censored] off! they are playing rubbish soft football

I don’t like them reviewing scores when the field umpire called touched - as the players then let the ball go through assuming it was.

You can’t penalise a team for an umpire mistake.

Right out of the Chris Scott playbook

It's simply to avoid losing viewers who switch off. Like me.

Always do this talking up the alleged drama.  Keep the interest.

Yep, something really stinks about this. Umpire called touched so it is touched.

How could anyone switch off the Cats losing at home?

The fans are so baffled by not having every decision go their way

Bloody gut wrenching watching some of the Fremantle players in the pre game tribute to Cam McCarthy.

its not a full house either. there's a fair smattering of empty seats

Plenty in Geelong have no hope of affording a seat at the new stadium.

Elites only unfortunately

A timely reminder that you never know what someone is going through in private, and we all should do better with some of the trash we throw at our players over a football game.

It is after all just a game, but these players are someone’s entire world!

I don’t doubt you , but has changed- for the ordinary supporter?
Membership prices increased?

Ch.7 now promoting a venue within the Kardinia Park State/Cats/Station/AFL Promotional edifice?

Crass.

And worse.

Reserved seating is the issue price wise.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

A undermanned Dees showed some heart and desperation to put the Fremantle Dockers to the sword as they claimed their first victory for the season winning by 10 points at the MCG.
