It's not just a lack of possessions for Oliver, it's his positioning too - we're practically 17 men out there with where he is placing himself.

He's clearly injured. Should not have been picked .

This is not good football from the Demons. Can't buy a possession

Just when you think BT couldn’t say anything dumber..

Can't have Lions 1-4. Umps making sure of it. Bunch of cheats.

I wish I could reward that with ten bloody claps and likes

Umps don’t won’t to spoil Neale 250th to go with his fake Brownlow.

Midfield need to really fire up. This is pathetic.

Worst quarter since round 1Q4.

Tholstrup has been ok. Gawn has tapped everything to Lions players hitting the ball at pace.
Viney, Oliver and Sparrow need to lift in a big way or we'll get flogged with the amount of ball going into Brisbane's forward line.

Raynor's quarter:

12 disposals

7 contested possessions

7 inside 50s

6 clearances

2 goal assists

Is there a chance someone can stand next to a lions player at the back of a stoppage.

Getting absolutely smashed in clearances. Done well to limit the Lions to 4 goals with how much pressure the backlines been under.

What is that nump on?

Midfield getting slaughtered

Lions running on top of the turf.

Demons lumbering in wet cement.

Umpire 15 is a cheat

There's our Kingsley

We need to lift in a few areas. Maybe try Clarry forward.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
