Hawthorn reserves player Brett Lovett played well for a few years at the Dees

Easily the most underrated player to go around for the Dees in the last 50 years.

I think its a good sensible move. Need some depth and experience to replace what we have lost in jordan and harmes. Haven't really addressed our obvious key fwrd needs but im sure they tried.  I think the grundy experiement really has cost us a year in terms of geting in the ears of a key fwrd, either last trade period or this one. Dont think we wont still try and move up the draft board

Essentially we swapped Billings for Harmes, he offers better kicking skills which I dont mind.

Had anyone told SOS?

No one's game to wake him up.

His brother Glenn was a gun mid. Not sure how good Robert was.

Pretty sure we played all three Elliots in the same side more than once.

People likening this to when we got Hunter, feels more to me like when we got Melksham. I wasn't thrilled at all at the time but look what we got.

Well we didn’t use the pick from the Dogs - we used our own, but I get your drift.

Let’s hope he/we can get that body right.

Young? He's 28!

Anyway, let's see if he can at least get on the park. He seems to have broken every part of his body over the past decade.

Hey I’m 37 and I take offense to that

Not by me. Outstanding footballer.

James Frawley played 100 games and won a flag with Hawthorn.

I still think he played most of his best footy with us though

Robert was good & had a couple of great years for us. Was picked for the state side while he was with us.

WELCOME JACK BILLINGS, Allow me to show you around your training base Casey Fields! I can also give wise counsell on Sltheras, Venus Fly traps, Quicksand, Yeti's and anything else you would like!😁

And share with you my deep love of Charlie Spargo

A premiership season with spargs and Billo leading the afl for goal assists is going to be so enjoyable

Didn’t realise Dave Misson was Head of Football at St Kilda – is that not out of his wheelhouse a little for a ‘fitness’ guy? (Happy to be corrected)

Struggled as a fitness guy, might have been out of his wheelhouse too

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
