Geez if Collingwood win the flag something is wrong with the AFL, bog ordinary team. They were just lucky we brought out seasons worst tonight

Really proud of the fight back. Bring on the Blues/Swans

That was a choke.  No other way to describe it.  Absolute stage fright.

Knocking Gus out was at least a 7 point swing. Collingwood lucky to hold on.

Bad kicking is bad football. For all the hoohaa about Chocco teaching us to kick, we've just coughed up a massive chance to host a Prelim.

Coulda Shoulda

But didn’t. The Forward line was sadly B Grade

Bring on Trade Week

Choked in front of goal

Choked when the heat was on

I wish Cox and Maynard both do their ACL next week. Trash thug hack footballers.

Gonna be tough to win the next game with a completely dysfunctional fwd line.

Who's primarily responsible for the lack of skills, decision making and IQ that our side has? Goodwin, Taylor or Williams?

Most of our players look like they've never met each other

Petty and Melksham would have been handy. 😳

Yep, I do rate the way this team keeps fighting.

If Blues beat Sydney we are odds on for a straight sets exit. I honestly cannot believe we couldn't score against them.

MacDonald to never play for us again. Bad kicking is bad football. What was that shank by Fritsch!

Dominated most of that game but our forward half entries were shocking.

Why we went with 4 medium talls in JvR, T-Mac, Fritsch and Smith when we haven't done it all year and then leave a key defender out I'll never know.

Terrible kicking for goal tonight. Gotta go the hard way around now likely through Brisbane if we can win next week. Really hope Port can knock them off

well that was [censored] ... kick straight we would have run over them...we had the game under control.

I haven't seen worse kicking ever, how many did we put out on the full.

Have we got any forwards hiding at Casey.

I'm upset because we should have won that, as bad as they played they could have won against the odds, but fudge me can they [censored] up opportunities.

Butchers

We'll win next week

Maynard if i see you in the street lets just say wouldn't be friendly any legacy your family has with Casey [censored] dead in the water you dog.

I felt sick after Gus went down, incredibly tough for the players to come back from that. Could be career ending.

5 mins longer and we likely win that.

Incredibly frustrating game and there’s some hard questions to be asked of a number of players.

Also, Cox is the biggest piece of [censored] going round, the dive into Trac’s legs and then holding it while he twists is so incredibly dangerous

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
