Chook 15,069 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Adelaide's season has been a story of being so close to victory so many times. Millimetres from victory. Quote
dees189227 12,512 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) Swans kicked only 1 behind. Adelaide kicked 4-8 in that final term. As I was always told look at the goal umpire for the decision. Keys and 3 others were celebrating and Sydney took it out easily. Lets hope that bandage on papleys thigh keeps him out next week Edited August 19, 2023 by dees189227 Quote

Deenooos_ 647 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 The swans aren't fit. They couldn't get the ball in the last and Adelaide were running on top of the ground. 1 Quote
YesitwasaWin4theAges 6,829 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Its an absolute 5 hit show from the AFL. Quote
BoBo 2,956 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Hang on a second, that ball went over the padding??? Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Thats why the goal umpire should only say goal or point - please check if it was touched. Quote
darkhorse72 1,943 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 So [censored] at the crows, they had that, they suddenly could kick a goal, then not focussed no that last point. They ruined my tipping :) Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 So only nine teams in it now. Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 another contentious goal umpire call at the death. couldn't tell from the vision but the goal ump did seem very sure though. 1 Quote

The heart beats true 18,201 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 The footage shows the ball nowhere near the padding. Thats a clear mistake. 3 1 Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 That was well above the padding. 1 Quote
Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) The ball went way over the padding. Edited August 19, 2023 by Dee Zephyr 1 Quote
Little Goffy 14,963 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 It's not as as if like Adelaide or wanted then to play finals, but the umpires in the last 5 minutes of that Swans-Adelaide game had a clear preference. Tom Papley sore is of interest for us. Personally I hope half the Swans' list is out with dysentery for next week. I'm now officially sick of them. 1 1 Quote
The heart beats true 18,201 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Fox Footy doing everything not to say it was an absolutely terrible mistake. We can see it! 1 1 Quote

Not in a million years did that hit the padding. And could well have cost the Crows a final spot. 1 1 Quote
