Hibberd the sub

Well done, @Dannyz. All over it again.

Strange sub...

Hibberd in at some stage and Bowey forward perhaps

It'll be for Smith, unless we cop injuries.

Did you just cop an injury?

I’ll be happy with a solid 4 quarter effort, no injuries and Maysie having a solid game in the backline. The rest should sort itself out.

Get on Petracca

Suspect it will be a lot tighter than what some are predicting. Hope I'm wrong

Daicos already on 25-26 votes and Trac on 18-19.  Trac needs 3 big games over the next month. Let’s hope he starts with today.  Butters and the Bont are the other major stars  in serious contention imv.

With heads in the right place from the get-go, we will win by 7+ goals.  Heads in the wrong place, then anything could happen in this crazy football season.

Carna Dees, from the first bounce-down to the final siren ... down the corridor with support, support and accuracy.

I think Daicos has probably already done enough to win the Brownlow even without playing the remainder of the games.

So no Cunnington to worry about. Good

Truly? That is good news!

My plan A would be worst performing mid out, rivers to midfield, hibberd back.

Just win.   Real chance for flag now with Coll wood hitting hurdle with form and their best player prob out for year. We are into $3 80 for flag.   Am nervous with Clarke returning today

But l am always nervous

This game is about percentage...while margin is important, it's the for and against (numerator and denominator) that count.

100 to 50 is my wish

A five point win next week against the Blues could see the % go down so this is a big one.

Would like a Brisbane loss perhaps but then again there's the draft pick

It's a travesty if Daicos wins the Brownlow before Clarry 😡😡😡

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
