A highly entertaining game.

I was worried at times!

Glad the Demons got the job done.

A great win!

GO YOU MIGHTY DEMONS!!! 🔴🔵👹

We can kick scores with a more mobile forward line. I am very pleased that Goody pulled the trigger on Petty forward and Tomlinson staying back. Again Smith came in and was effective and played his role.

Our side is showing some great resilience at the moment and that never say die attitude. I think we're in a much better headspace at the moment than a month ago and we are evolving as a side as well. I used to think we wouldn't stand up in a shoot out but they are bucking the trend there!

Yes Bitters.... that game went a long way to helping solve the forward conundrum

I will enjoy the replay

Petty is overrated.

Holy [censored] that was one exciting game to watch!

We just griiiiiiinnnnd them away!

Petty and JVR were [censored] unreal.

Maxy on that performance alone should be a 7 time All Australian. That was [censored] nuts

Give Melksham another contract. He's best 22 for the rest of the year.

Go you [censored] dees!

A really solid performance. What a win!

An intense high pressure cracking game !!!

The toiges did us for pressure and intensity early and had our measure.

But .... along came Max ... big bad Max the mountain!!!

You will NEVER see a better performance in the ruck - EVER !!!!

A number of other top performances but I must single out Petty. He played more like  a forward than any other forward ( bar Fitta ) than we have played this year.

A very tough game - fortunate to have Norf next week.

There is a feeling in the Bitter nethers that says, " this is our year" !

GO DEES !!!!!

Good post Uncle. Credit to Richmond who swang all day. Props to Petty. Maybe the fwd line is fixed. But Max was on another level after half time.

Vintage Gawn. Can't be stopped.

That win is  a  strong message to the other clubs.

In the pre game thread I hoped Petty would kick 2 goals and take 4 contested marks.

Will have to watch the replay to assess whether he met expectations.

Wish they would start these games a little earlier so we can see the song after. Live Ladder now has us finishing 2nd but what would live ladder know.

We are timing our run to the flag perfectly. Can't expect perfection, but the momentum is real

EPIC upon EPIC!!  We are on the march to September, and in it up to our necks!! We have sorted our forward structure ….  as Goody said we would!  Who says Max is no longer the AA ruckman?  Pffft!  Go Dees!!  We all love you!

That’s footy!

Hate to be that guy but (like I suggested) they left the press at home and just let the boys play and it was fun!

And actually, you know, HELPFUL FOR EMBEDDING A BATTLIN’ FORWARD LINE WITH CONFIDENCE AND PURPOSE.

Keep doing that the rest of the year and we will finish wherever in the top 4 with a forward line that knows itself.

That dropped mark he will be lucky to hold his place next week.

We've got a forward!

Got a forward line.

Petty six.

Jvr and Milk four.

Kozzie two.

Chandler one

Over 100 points.

How good was Petty! I was sceptical of playing him forward but I've changed my mind. Everything he touched turned to gold.

All in all, I'm thrilled with that win. That was a very high pressure game and we held up brilliantly. Still got another four games left but I'm much more confident heading into the finals than I was this time last year.

Just imagine, Clarrie and Fritta are to come into that team to strengthen it...truly!

Always trust Goody and the SC

they reward the right players

in Petty they see a gun key fwd when many of us doubted it.

what a win!!

Milkshake has hit an excellent patch of form. He's all class at the moment

A lot of it is stuff you don't even notice until you watch a replay.

No one should ever question Petty again.

That song with the families was fantastic.

second place is there for the taking

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
