Not at the game.

Can anyone explain why we're trying to switch the ball so much tonight?

I think we are trying to drag the Saints players out of our forward 50 by switching the ball and going short. In order to have a more open forwardline.

JVR, Smith, Schache, Petty (if Tomlinson back in the team which he should be), Fritsch if not injured.

Is Smith the sub?

Defenders panic when teams have multiple talk forward to cover, imagine if we had another couple of marking forwards down there!

Even moreso when the ball comes in quick and the fwds aren't competing against each other

Ok, no idea what the [censored] you are on about @Macca I’ve no agenda against Brayshaw, but you have singled me out for some reason. What ever.

Kozzie 1 handball

He needs to be dropped. He is not impacting games and nobody is doing him any favours by keeping him in the seniors. I’d give him 2-3 weeks in the 2s just to get his mojo back.

I’ll say it - Pickett off Smith on

Pickett needs to go back to VFL absolutely terrible performance. We need him playing well and he needs to go back to learn and find some form

We need Trac and Kozzie to rise, or at least get the ball.

I feel like we are being beaten at ground level (again)

Our kicking and disposal efficiency is looking a lot better.

Our F50 entries and general play look good.

Steven May is brilliant.

Is Kozzie asleep? He seems to be jogging around in a perpetual daze.

Kozzy is scared for the contest after getting suspended early in year he needs a spell

If pickett can’t turn it around in the 2nd half he just MUST be dropped. Is sooo far off it.. Confidence shot.. Just can’t keep his spot in the side.

Is kozzzzy trying ??????????

Why try when you’ve got four more years in the bag?

Pickett just watching there, applied zero pressure.

Sub time?

Goody needs to send a message to Kozzie. Drop him FFS.

Cant keep getting a game on the basis of ‘game changer’.

He hasn’t changed a game in 2 months!!!!!

Brayshaw 🤮🤮turnovers

slow play leads to turnovers 🤮

Quick run and corridor goals

Best - May Viney Rivers Petty Bowey 👋👋

the commentators are openly barracking for the saints.

we just look so far off it/ out of form

hopefully we run over the top of them in the second half

Oh rubbish, he’s playing like a millionaire who thinks he’s better than what he is

I’ve been lectured fairly solidly by some here for calling out Pickett’s performances these past couple of months. Obviously he’s got a whole half of football to make amends, but if this form continues tonight, those lecturers can stick their stat sheets where the sun don’t shine.

disappointing quarter

We are letting them stay in the game

We seem so slow. No dare or run. By the time they move the pill forward, Saints have us covered. We look so ordinary to say the least.

give kozzie 10mins in the next quarter if he is not showing any improvement put smith on. a lot of poor disposals as usual, just lucky its the saints that arent kicking straight. ben brown has show he can mark on the lead so why are we still kicking it to a pack. some of our player are just too slow in moving the ball on we have player open short that they could go to, to keep it moving but they go back and slow it all down before sending a long kick down the line where the saints talls mark it.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
