Good question, I felt like it was a poster each for Kade and Trac but might be wrong.

We hit the post 3 times in total, pretty sure Kade did it twice cos I was laughing cos i had him to score 2 in my multi.

Bets and vested interests win out when it comes to remembering things you would know better than me 🙂

Mine was dead the moment '2-goal a game' Mihocek decided to bottle it.

Agree, great to see his commitment both in the signing and on the field. I've seen enough of his early skillset, scoring (albeit not recently), defensive pressure, one grab marking and fine delivery, etc to be happy.

I do wonder where this places Jordon tho.

Well done Kade, well done MFC.

How the MFC has changed. Players used to 'wait until season's end' blah, blah, blah... but now they are lining up to re-sign. We are recent premiers, a destination club, and a genuine contender for the flag in 2023. Good times.

These kind of signings are a great indicator of internal cohesion and confidence. Although we can probably fit only 2 small forwards into our 22, Chandler is most likely sitting in 1st place at the moment, with Spargo and Kozzie in such poor form. I also like the fact he often plays well in the last quarter.

After the bye, hopefully his fatigue has levelled out, and he has enough recovery energy to kick the goals he was kicking earlier in the season.

Hopefully he will be the next one to sign, he doesn't get much love on here but is a very good player, IMO and we shouldn't lose him.

I reckon your angst should be directed at far more senior players than him who have been struggling to kick regulation goal. *cough* Gawn and Trac *cough*

Yeah but they are executed their main rolls.

Chandler is there to pressure and kick goals when he gets his chance!

Love it. He is like a little terrier on field. Chases, tackles and attacks.

Yes, and more and more he can be seen directing traffic.

Well done to Kade. He's had to wait for opportunity and he's grabbed it this season and proved he belongs at AFL level. Just needs to straighten his radar and start nailing his shots like earlier this season!

Can people stop saying Kozzie is in such poor form.........its plain wrong and annoying

You are a total legend @WalkingCivilWar

(Yes, typo.)

On top of all these fine comments about Chin there is one thing I've always loved about him, he's got the swagger.

You can tell with guys like these that they dream of kicking a goal and have goal sense, you need to be a little greedy as a specialist small forward. Obviously we don't want David King BBQ levels but you have to want to kick a goal and on top of his pressure and running work rate, he always wants that goal. There's a heap of small forwards in the league that are role players and get the blinkers in front of goal. Confident he'll get consistency and become a real threat with limited opportunities.

Hope he bags a hatful next week.

No we all love Kossie BUT he is not in good form. First game vs Dogs  that's what he can do and simply he is a little undisciplined and not in the right crumbing spots too many times.

Needs a small wake up call.

BUMP!

I thought he was very good yesterday and has been much more consistent this year - last year, he ran out of steam by this stage. He seems to be Nibbler-esque in his team first mentality and a couple of the younger guys have mentioned him as a role model.

His contested marking is excellent for his size: there was one that he took at full stretch on the Shane Warne wing, where he beat a much taller opponent. The highlight, though, was in the final couple of minutes, when he sat Harley Reid down in a crunching marking contest (I’d love to see a replay of that!).

Well done Chin - keep it up son.

Was still making lung-busting sprints late in the 4th quarter. Key component of the forward line pressure.

We have a log jam of just okay small forwards, Chandler is one of the few which would hold some value, should move him on and take the pick

Trade Chandler for what? A late second rounder? In order to play who? Spargo who’s been MIA all year? Laurie who doesn’t have the speed, power or marking game to be a small forward? McAdam, Sesto or AMW who don’t have the tanks.

Chandler’s rock solid in his effort each week and a great culture guy, he won’t be traded.

I'd take the pick 35 all day

We have a log jam of 'just ok' small forwards and you want to get rid of the best of them?

Love chandler - tough, hard runner and is team first player.
24 years of age and coming into his prime.

Can’t play West Coast every week but Chin was very good yesterday and was good against Brisbane too.

Continuity in the talls and finally getting some run back through the middle should let the small forwards find more of the ball in space too.

This is the last 10 players taken at Pick 35:
Harrison Wigg, Marcus Adams, Josh Prudden, Oscar Clavarino, Bailey William (WC), Flynn Perez, Connor Downie, Paul Curtis, Olli Hotton, Cooper Simpson.

Most aren't on an AFL list and I'd only be tempted to have a look at Bailey Williams, though he's a long way off being a star.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
