They are picking us apart. Look much more likely forward. Cleaner and better numbers to the fall of the ball.

we look like we are under committing at the contest. Seems deliberate.

We've been let off massively with ports goalkicking. They are finding targets inside 50 way too easy.

lol it is not. Port ain't bad.

Not sure what game you are watching - we look 2nd rate. Late to the ball. Outnumbered at contest. Hacking the ball when in possession .

Our only goal has come from a dubious 50m penalty.

FMD what a disaster of a quarter.
Sloppy, soft, messy.

We can’t handle the hot ball. Stock standard Melbourne.

Dove head first

what studs are we wearing? we're slipping whenever we take possesion

They're out numbering us around the stoppages.

So many more Port players then us

We look completely sluggish

Oh how many times are they going to drop knees.

Sucked in big time ump you total amateur.

lol Horne Francis. Threw his head back before he was even tackled.

Really frustrating watching this quarter.
Why is May miles off his man???

Been frustrating this whole season so far. Patchy in all games.

Isn't it not a high free if you duck into it???

Port deserve that lead. We are playing pathetic football.
If we don’t start getting our act together through the middle, we can kiss this game goodbye.
As for our backline, the less said the better.

Was hoping we'd get away with that quarter but no we definitely had to gift them so they had reward for effort. Port in the drivers seat

This has been bugging me for ages now, why, whenever we have a rushed kick do we sky ball it? Seems literally everyone else's rushed kicks are stab passes which often land in their team mates lap. Ours are ALWAYS spoiled and often rebound back the other way

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!
