Intensity at, over and around the ball missing.Ā  No run.

When they haven't got the pill it's very much the same.Ā  Pressure is way off.

Blues have regressed so far this season

This is why they need to have some small degree of success. Maybe losing an elimination final. Just enough to keep Voss in the job for years on end. Imagine what a good coach could do with that list.

My brother is a big Carlton fan. He went to the match today with his 7 year old son. They had the following exchange:

Son: ā€œI think this is the worst game of football I have ever seenā€

Father: ā€œIt’s definitely the most frustratingā€

Son: ā€œEvery game I’ve ever watched is frustratingā€

Father ā€œIt’s the curse of being a Carlton supporter, mateā€

I am so glad kids growing up these days watching the Dees don’t need to go through that anymore.

I feel a bit sorry for the kid. Only to a point. Imagine the gloating and rubbing noses in it if they have some success. It's crucial that they waste their talented list and spend another generation in the wilderness.

Those kids deserve better..better organisations like the MFC.

Kids will jump on board the Kozzy train!Ā

Quote of the night

BT - ā€œMitch Robinson the only player to play 100 games for both clubs.ā€

Hodge - ā€œAlso the only player to be sacked from both clubs.ā€

I think Fev did to but seriously he sat in the crowd with both jumpers on with a medal. Honestly.Ā

Oh andf if I hear anyone complain about there team or any young child, you have nothng to complain about until you have sat at a ground and watched your team get beaten by 186 points.Ā

War drums wont be out yet but Voss better get a move on. He wanted the job.

Apparently Carlton supporters did leaveĀ  en masse before and at the end of 3rd qtr. Players also copped boo's, Charming!Ā  Real troopers that lot. lol.

Pies fans would never leaveĀ  before 3qtr time even if 40 points down.

Theyre just getting warmed up.

To be fair most players get sacked. Very few get to leave on their own terms.Ā

It's a risk, but often a necessary one, to appoint an unproven coach. It's a leap of faith to appoint a coach proven to have no success.

I can understand recycling Ross Lyon. He took two clubs to grand finals, and but for one bounce of a ball .... whereas Voss, who .... erm ... lemme think ... he, um, well, he .... errrrr ... what's for lunch?

Let's not let the schadenfreude tempt us into lionising Collingwood. They're still Collingwood no matter the circumstance.

It was Carlton who got lionised last night, not Collingwood.

I can just imagine behind the scenes now, although the renovations at "Taxpayer Park" are not complete, there will be quite conversations with various government agencies regarding putting a roof over their non-AFL ground. Going by todays weather there will be some very cold farmers down there. Well they can leave early to milk the cows. Would love to see Adelaide win as my hatred of Geebung is only 2nd to the druggies.

These days it’s called delisting. Players only get sacked for committing serious outrages, some of which are publicly known but most are swept under the carpet.Ā

I can't believe BT introduced himself to Josh Dunkleys dad and asked him what his name was.🤦

He didn't remember Andrew's career?

Exactly. Ā Cripps Cheated the system. Ā
And I cannot understand why the maggots love him when he argues every decision and more particularly every non decision. Ā

Looks like Richmond are playing in an empty MCG.Ā  Last week they had the excuse the game was at Marvel.Ā  This week no excuse at all.Ā

100,000+ members.

More microwaved membership cards.Ā Ā  Or deleted Richmond FC app!!

They’ll say it’s cold. And it is. It feels like 2 degrees and it’s wet. But if I hear one more media commentator complaining about attendance at a Melbourne game while completely ignoring attendance at games of the big clubs, I’ll spew.Ā
The reality is that everyone is struggling financially. Going to games isn’t cheap even if you have a membership. When your team is slop and the weather is horrible, you make those choices. Let’s see how many people rock up to watch Tasmania in the dead of winter once the shine has disappeared and they’re on the bottom.Ā

Richmond’s skill out of the back is Melbournesque 08-09, 12-13.

Crows going with cats at q1

Feel a bit sorry for Andrew Gaff. Could've played in a VFL premiership with us last year if he hadn't belted Andy Brayshaw in the gob.Ā

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’sĀ performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
